He said the overall project provides a total of 7,932 housing lots with an estimated cost of RM1.5 billion.
'Of the total, 25 projects are completed while the implementation of the remaining 57 projects will continue until the end of the 12MP and in the 13MP,' he said when winding up on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development at the State Assembly here today.
Awang Tengah, who is also the Second Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development, said that since 2018, infrastructure development for the scheme has been implemented with new specifications involving the construction of, among others, paved roads, concrete drains and water and electricity supply reticulation systems, involving an average cost of RM150,000 per lot.
'However, taking the people's welfare into consideration, the government has set the land premium payment at no more than RM2,500, which can be paid in annual instalments for up to 10 years,' he said.

KUCHING: Sarawak has reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the development of Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara, with a focus on clean energy, infrastructure, and cross-border economic collaboration. This was conveyed by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan during a roundtable dialogue held in Balikpapan between the Sarawak government and East Kalimantan on Saturday. Borneo Post reported that key areas of potential collaboration discussed included renewable energy, particularly hydropower and biomass, along with healthcare, education, tourism, infrastructure and trade facilitation. "Nusantara's ambition to achieve full renewable energy by 2045 aligns closely with Sarawak's clean energy aspirations, particularly in hydropower and biomass," said Awang Tengah. He said Sarawak is expanding its clean energy portfolio through hydroelectric, solar and biomass development, and sees synergy in potential collaboration in North and East Kalimantan. To enhance cross-border trade and investment, both parties are working toward the joint development of special economic zones and industrial parks at strategic border points, which are expected to strengthen connectivity and stimulate job creation. Awang Tengah also said that both governments are committed to exploring cooperation in sustainability and the circular economy, including joint conservation efforts, carbon trading initiatives and the adoption of green technologies. The dialogue also touched on efforts to boost tourism between the two regions through improved road networks, development of new airports and establishment of direct flight routes. A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) to establish a Joint Task Force focused on strategic development initiatives. "This MoU marks a renewed commitment to collaborative growth, reinforcing our shared vision for a more integrated and prosperous Borneo," Awang Tengah said. He added that the roundtable dialogue had strengthened longstanding historical and cultural ties between Sarawak and Kalimantan, while reflecting Kalimantan's evolving economic landscape and diversification beyond traditional sectors. The Sarawak delegation included Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Deputy Minister Datuk Ripin Lamat, Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Seri Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, Economic Planning Unit director Datuk Lester Matthew, and senior government and industry representatives. No DUN dissolution announcement July 28 - CM's Office

KOTA KINABALU (July 27): Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor will not be announcing the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) on Monday (July 28) to pave the way for the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN17). Public speculation had mounted following the conclusion of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah's (Gagasan Rakyat) annual general convention at the Sabah International Convention Centre on Sunday. However, an official from the Chief Minister's Office confirmed that Hajiji is scheduled to depart for Jakarta on Monday to attend the annual Malaysia-Indonesia consultation, where matters including the Sulawesi Sea are expected to be discussed. Hajiji also confirmed to reporters on Sunday that he will be accompanying Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on a working visit to Indonesia starting on Monday. The official was responding to a viral report that claimed Hajiji would announce the dissolution of the State Assembly on July 28. The report further alleged that Hajiji would seek an audience with the Head of State on July 29 or 30 to submit the dissolution letter. It also claimed that the State Assembly Speaker would declare receipt of the dissolution notice on August 1, with the Election Commission (EC) being formally notified on August 4. According to the report, the EC is expected to meet and determine the election dates soon after, with the official announcement slated for August 11. It speculated the following timeline for PRN17: nomination on September 6, early voting on September 15, and polling day on September 20. Political analysts expect the dissolution of the state assembly after the Gagasan Rakyat congress. They speculate that Hajiji is likely to call for polls before National Day on August 31 or after Malaysia Day on September 16. Hajiji had said that he would consult the presidents of all Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) component parties before making any move to dissolve the DUN. The 16th Sabah DUN will be automatically dissolved on Nov 11 this year if it is not dissolved earlier. Under the law, the state election must be held within 60 days after the dissolution.
