Alexander Isak is on Man United's radar, Newcastle planning record contract offer to ward off suitors
The Swede scored 23 goals in the Premier League and 27 overall while also adding six assists to his name. In comparison,

United's No.9 Rasmus Hojlund managed a meagre four league goals.
Ruben Amorim is eager to replace the Dane this window, and as per Tutto Juve, the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the Newcastle superstar.
A move looks difficult given the Magpies value their No.9 at £150 million. But the former Real Sociedad ace has a contract with the St James' Park side until 2028 and teams could potentially acquire him on the cheap next summer onwards.
Alexander Isak on United's radar
The report mentions that apart from the 20-time English league champions, Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring the 25-year-old's situation, and in a bid to ward off suitors, Newcastle want to agree a new long-term deal with the Sweden international.

They not only want to agree a new deal, they are prepared to make him the highest-paid player in the club's history.
'Alexander Isak is establishing himself as one of Newcastle United's absolute protagonists, becoming a key point of reference in the Magpies' sporting project. At just 25 years old, the Swedish striker has shown all his value in the Premier League, attracting the attention of top English clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
'Newcastle management is already moving to secure Isak's future with a long-term contract renewal proposal. The goal is clear: block the interest of the Premier League big clubs by offering the player a record salary, which would make him the highest paid player in the club's history.
'Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are watching. His performances have not gone unnoticed, and several top clubs are monitoring his situation ahead of the upcoming transfer window.'

New contract could end all hopes
This would all but end any hopes of landing him in the near future. Till now, United's attempts at recruiting a top-level striker have not gone to plan.
Liam Delap chose Chelsea over a switch to Old Trafford, while Victor Osimhen's wage demands have meant a move is unlikely this window.
Viktor Gyokeres could be back on the menu but whether Ruben Amorim will go after a player who has publicly rejected United in the recent past remains to be seen.
The club could be forced to dip into their B list of targets, which includes Randal Kolo Muani as well as Moise Kean.

Reds' 'Mature & Intelligent' Wonderkid Key to Forward Reshuffle
Liverpool Planning for Life After Nunez with Youth Talent and Market Targets As Liverpool prepare for a title-defending campaign, planning continues behind the scenes to reshape the squad. The Premier League champions are navigating a pivotal summer — one defined by exits, high valuations and the calculated integration of youth. Advertisement With Darwin Nunez edging closer to a departure, the focus has naturally turned to who might step in — both externally and from within. Danns Could Be Key to Internal Reshuffle While transfer speculation dominates the headlines, one player already at the club could benefit significantly from the summer movement. Jayden Danns, still only 18, has long been tipped for a breakthrough and could now find himself handed increased responsibility. Danns' appearances so far have largely been restricted to cup fixtures, but his presence has always carried promise. Coaches behind the scenes speak highly of his composure and intelligence in forward areas. There's a belief within the club that his time is coming — and that the upcoming season might be it. Advertisement With financial and strategic limitations potentially restricting Liverpool to just one major forward signing, Danns could be elevated as an understudy. It's a move that would align with the club's long-term strategy of sustainable squad building and trust in academy development. Exit Plans for Nunez Complicated by Market Conditions Darwin Nunez's future has been one of the defining narratives of Liverpool's off-season. Brought in for a fee rising to £85m, the striker has failed to fully deliver on expectations. A mixture of inconsistent finishing and moments of frustration has led to widespread acceptance that a fresh start may benefit both player and club. However, securing a suitable exit has proved more complex than anticipated. Several European clubs have expressed interest, but none have yet met Liverpool's valuation, which is understood to be in the region of £50m. That figure is seen as reasonable by the club, given Nunez's age profile and physical attributes. Advertisement Liverpool's position remains firm: they will not offload at a significant loss, and there's no pressure to sell if conditions are not met. That said, there is a clear desire to move forward with clarity — and reinvest accordingly. Ekitike on Shortlist but Fee a Major Obstacle The search for a replacement has identified several potential candidates. Among those, Hugo Ekitike is a name high on the list. The Frankfurt striker has emerged as a standout target following an encouraging loan spell turned permanent deal. However, Frankfurt's valuation of €100m (£86m) is a major hurdle. Liverpool, traditionally cautious spenders under current ownership, are unlikely to stretch to that figure unless there is a significant outflow of funds. Advertisement Similarly, other options such as Benjamin Sesko are priced at a premium — with RB Leipzig reportedly demanding €90m (£77.6m). Meanwhile, more proven names like Alexander Isak and Julian Alvarez are deemed unavailable at any price. It means that any incoming striker will need to represent value and adaptability — a profile that Ekitike, at a more reasonable fee, would ideally fit. But unless valuations come down or Liverpool receive a sizeable fee for Nunez, compromises will be required. Strategic Balance Needed in Forward Planning This window is about more than just one-in, one-out. Liverpool must strike a balance between replenishing key positions and maintaining squad unity. The club has already added names like Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Giorgi Mamardashvili — all designed to reinforce the spine of the squad. Advertisement But in attack, the options are slimmer. If only one forward arrives — as appears likely — then internal promotion becomes critical. In that sense, Danns becomes not only a promising option but a necessary one. A successful integration could be transformative for both the player and the team.

Porto's Samu Aghehowa decision bad news for Man United
With goals in desperately short supply at Old Trafford last season, Manchester United were expected to go all in for a new striker this summer. Blockbuster names such as Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres were bandied about but seem to be slipping away from the Red Devils, who have already missed out on priority target Liam Delap after he chose Chelsea instead. Advertisement Away from the headliners, United have a host of alternatives to look at – as outlined in our handy guide to the club's centre-forward targets for the rest of the window. No deal will be easy, but one for Porto's Samu Aghehowa will be particularly difficult following developments at the Estádio do Dragão. Porto complete the deal Aghehowa moved from Atletico Madrid to Porto last year and enjoyed a stellar season in blue and white, scoring 27 goals in 45 games. The Dragons paid Atletico just €15m for the player, but that only secured them 50% of his rights in a complicated agreement. Record report that the 30-time league champions have now completed the deal and own the 21-year-old's entire transfer rights, making him the most expensive signing in Portuguese football history in the process. Advertisement The purchase of the rest of his rights brings the club's total investment in the Spaniard to €32m. Bad news for United It is significant that the club could have reached 100% ownership at any time before the end of next season but chose to lock the player down now. Record note that the Dragons have made the move in 'anticipation' of approaches from clubs looking to boost their forward options and expect that 'interest in the striker will increase as the transfer window approaches its end.' United are certainly an obvious contender to put in a late request for Aghehowa, and would be foolish not to consider the powerful forward, who was unplayable when the Red Devils played out a thrilling 3-3 Europa League draw against Porto last season. Advertisement Record call him one of the 'revelations of European football last season' and note that the 21-year-old has his eye on a place in Luis de la Fuente's World Cup squad. Liverpool get GREEN light to sign Chelsea star
Liverpool could sign a Chelsea star this summer after he became available on the market. Over the last few decades, the Reds have signed plenty of players from the London club. And these former Chelsea players have always done well at Anfield. Just take a look at Mohamed Salah. He wasn't signed directly from Chelsea but he did play for the Blues before arriving at Liverpool. Advertisement He's turned out alright, hasn't he? But he's not the only one. Daniel Sturridge was sublime and probably one of the best forwards in the league in his prime at Liverpool. Then there was Glen Johnson, who played several years at Anfield and was always a solid right-back. On top of that, at academy level the likes of Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster were recruited from Cobham and while they never made a massive mark at Anfield, they were sold for handsome profits. Now, Rio Ngumoha is another former Chelsea star catching the eye at Liverpool. But he might not be the only one. If the club are smart this summer, they should sign another Chelsea star who is on the market. Advertisement Liverpool are looking to sign a new forward. That much is clear. The reality is that Darwin Nunez just hasn't quite hit the ground running under Arne Slot. The Reds know they would prefer to sell him. However, much will depend on the potential suitors and how much they are willing to pay for the Uruguayan. Nonetheless, even if Nunez doesn't leave, Liverpool would still need to bolster their attack, and why not go for a Premier League proven forward, who has already scored plenty of goals and is still relatively young? According to Fabrizio Romano, Nicolas Jackson has 'chances' to leave Chelsea this summer, with the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. Advertisement Those two new signings mean Jackson is considering his future at Stamford Bridge and this gives Liverpool a golden opportunity and a green light to try to lure him to Anfield. Jackson's speed and directness makes him a really suitable option for Slot's style of play. He's not bad when it comes to his output either. Over the course of the last two seasons, he's made 34 goal contributions in 65 games in the Premier League. Last season, he finished the campaign with 19 goal contributions in all competitions and the season before that it was 23. These aren't remarkable numbers, but they are pretty solid and given Liverpool have Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah, they don't necessarily need a massively prolific forward. Advertisement Jackson is young as well, he's only 24-years-old and we've seen former Chelsea players become even better at Liverpool, so there is a chance for him to harness his brilliant potential at the club.
