While India already operates the Integrated Air Command and Control System, which successfully countered Pakistani missile attempts during Operation Sindoor, the new system could extend beyond traditional missile defence, the report added. The project's name draws from Hindu mythology, referencing the Sudarshan Chakra used by Lord Krishna to aid Arjuna in battle. According to the Prime Minister, the system should be entirely researched, developed, and manufactured domestically, with a target for significant expansion and modernisation by 2035. Notably, the report highlights that Mission Sudarshan Chakra will likely incorporate precision counterstrike capabilities and measures to combat cyber threats such as hacking and phishing. The initiative is expected to involve collaboration between India's top scientific and defence research agencies, the military, and private sector innovators. The announcement comes in the aftermath of the April Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor in May, during which Pakistan attempted to target Indian military installations, fighter jets, and urban centres. Indian defence systems successfully neutralised these attacks, highlighting the country's existing defensive strengths. Mission Sudarshan Chakra appears to be a continuation of India's efforts to strengthen its security infrastructure and ensure a comprehensive, multi-layered defence strategy in the face of evolving threats. According to a PTI report, the Prime Minister has announced plans for next-generation GST reforms aimed at significantly reducing the tax burden, particularly for small businesses. These changes are expected to take effect in time for Diwali, which this year falls on 20 October, offering relief to taxpayers during the festival.

India's Tricolour is made up of three colours - saffron, white and green. "The top band is saffron, representing the country's strength and courage. The middle white band, with the Dharma Chakra, symbolizes peace and truth. The bottom green band represents fertility, growth, and the sanctity of the land. At the center is the Ashoka Chakra, taken from the Sarnath pillar built by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. The intention behind displaying this wheel is to convey that life is dynamic — to stop is to die," the Khalsa Vox report mentioned. "When the Tricolour was first designed before independence, the white band was placed on the top. However, Sikh community opposed it, resulting in saffron colour being placed at the top, with the sentiment that even a weak person would get strength after seeing it and contribute more powerfully to the freedom struggle of India," it added. Earlier, a spinning wheel was present in the Tricolour instead of Ashok Chakra. However, later, Ashok Chakra replaced it and the Tricolour in its final form became saffron on top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. This Tricolour then became the symbol of India's independence. It was officially adopted as the national flag after India attained freedom. Since then, it is duty of every citizen of India to honour the Tricolour. Earlier, only government offices or officials were allowed to hoist the Tricolour. However, the flag is now also flown on people's homes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's started the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. Prior to Independence Day, the Tricolour is sold in the markets and people display it on their homes and vehicles. "People, including the Sikh community, should feel proud as their sacred colour is placed at the top of the Tricolour, However, nowadays, a concerning trend is being observed, even within India, where a major conspiracy seems to be at play — Sikh symbols are being changed from saffron to yellow. The traditional Nishan Sahib, which has always been saffron, is now increasingly being displayed in yellow — a matter that calls for serious reflection," stated the Khalsa Vox report.

CM Fadnavis said that Maharashtra has decided to provide free electricity to farmers so that they get electricity for 12 hours a day, and for this, the world's largest distributed solar project is underway in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana. "After this project is completed in December 2026, farmers will definitely get electricity for 12 hours a day. At that time, Maharashtra will be the first state to provide 100 per cent green electricity," he noted. 'A large amount of work is going on in the field of irrigation, especially through river linking projects, be it the Wainganga, Nalganga scheme or bringing water flowing into the Godavari basin to make North Maharashtra and Marathwada drought-free or bringing water to the Tapi basin through various river linking projects. Due to these projects, Maharashtra will become an important state that creates abundant water reserves to provide drinking water to farmers, industries and large-scale agriculture,' said the chief minister. In the field of agriculture, too, by using artificial intelligence, the CM said the government is making efforts to benefit the agriculture sector and protect it from climate change. CM Fadnavis said that the security forces and police have maintained law and order in Maharashtra. Gadchiroli has almost become free from Maoists. 'Gadchiroli is now being developed as the new steel hub of the country. In the next ten years, the largest steel capacity in the country will be created,' he added. According to the chief minister, Maharashtra is a leader in infrastructure development. 'Various infrastructure projects have been undertaken in Maharashtra. Along with roads and airports, the work of development of Vadhavan Port has been undertaken. This port is among the top ten ports in the world, and it will make Maharashtra and India a new maritime power. At the same time, the work of constructing new airports or modernising airports in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Gadchiroli, Amravati and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is also underway,' he said. CM Fadnavis said that the 701 km Samruddhi Mahamarg and the proposed Rs 86,000 crore Shaktipeeth Mahamarg are creating a network of highways. Along with that, it has also been decided to take concrete roads to every village with a population of up to 1,000. He added that the development story will continue as Maharashtra will be the biggest participant in the development story of India.
