Glass Heart – J-drama Episode 6 Recap & Review
Episode 6 of Glass Heart begins with Toya in the hospital. When he doesn't turn up, Tenblank is asked to go on stage. The news of his stabbing breaks and the fans become restless as well. Seeing this, Akane starts playing the drums and Sho and Kazushi follow, giving Naoki leave to go and look after his half-brother.
A flashback shows Toya's mother being frustrated when he isn't able to play the piano correctly, comparing him to Naoki. She storms off and Toya
In the hospital, Toya wakes up. Naoki arrives and asks Toya if his fingers are okay. As a child, he never asked Toya. Naoki says that while music is everything to him, he doesn't have Toya's passion to fight for his music. Another flashback shows that Toya continued practicing piano even with bandaged fingers. The kids seem to get along but we see that Naoki soon left the house.
At present, Naoki tells Toya that he's grateful. Toya and his mother accepted Naoki even though he was from another family. Toya then tells Naoki to help him up and get him to the concert. He says he promised someone.
Another flashback shows that it wasn't the young fan who stabbed Toya. A man in a hood was about to stab the young woman when Toya jumped in the middle. He recognised the girl as a regular at his concerts and promised her that he will sing.
At present, Toya and Naoki begin a live stream from the hospital. For the first time, Toya calls Naoki his older brother and all of them, Overchrome and Tenblank, play together. Everyone loves it!
Afterwards, Akane comes to the hospital and Toya asks her if she's enjoying finding her own sound. She says she's loving it. As, Toya and Mahiro head back to his hospital room, they talk about happiness. Mahiro says he'll be happy when Toya gets them to the top. A flashback takes us back to their studio where Toya tells Mahiro he will take them to the top.
Back in the hospital, a doctor recognises Naoki and approaches him. She turns out to be the doctor who treated him after he got hit by lightning. She says his body won't hold up if he keeps doing concerts. When he refuses to stop, she asks him if he's okay with losing music through death.
The Tenblank members get drinks to celebrate the concert. They also play a game with Frisbees at the end of which Naoki tells the others they are officially going on tour!
The Episode Review
Episode 6 focuses on Toya and Naoki for the most part and we get a fair bit of insight into their childhood and their relationship.
It's definitely nice to get a larger backstory to Toya's broken fingers and even more heartwarming to see that Toya still didn't give up on music.
We also get a picture of the brother's relationship in all of its complexity, flaws and all. Their reconciliation is touching and the combined song is the cherry on top of the whole thing —another banger for the show's solid soundtrack.
On the other hand, the stabbing itself and the plotline around the fan does feel a tad too melodramatic. While it does prove that Toya can be kind and empathetic to his fans, the whole thing feels engineered to bring the brothers together.
It is all a bit drawn out as well. But the drama knows how to keep its viewers hooked as that ending bring troubling news about Naoki's health. Could this show be leaning more towards melodrama than we expected?

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis bust boy band-worthy moves at Backstreet Boys concert
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis enjoyed a romantic weekend in Las Vegas that included attending a Backstreet Boys concert. The couple, who were seen last Thursday on a shopping trip with their kids in Los Angeles, were spotted rocking out to the 90s heartthrobs in the VIP section at the Sphere on Saturday night. A fan spotted the couple, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on July 4, dancing and singing along with the band and the rest of the audience to I Want It That Way. The That '70s Show alums didn't seem to care who saw them as they appeared to come in close for a kiss, but never let their lips meet. Kunis, 41, wore a short sleeve top with a fitted torso and high waist pants. Her long, dark hair was styled straight and her makeup was natural looking. Kutcher, 47, wore a loose fitting T-shirt with a pair of straight leg pants. A black billed had was placed backwards over his brown hair. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Michael Shawn McCabe (@michaelshawnmccabe) 'Ashton Kutcher and the ever-lovely Mila Kunis were behind us at the Backstreet Boys show at the Sphere tonight,' wrote Michael Shawn McCabe, who shot the video. on Instagram. 'They stole the show on this one with a little fun. They were both gracious to the crowd and fans around them.' 'They are so cute. I will be doing the same thing. Lol,' wrote a fan. 'Putting [on] a performance for the world,' wrote another with an eye roll emoji. The couple appear to have moved on from the backlash they received when they wrote letters of support for their former That '70s show co-star Danny Masterson ahead of his 30-year sentence for rape in September 2023. The pressure lead to some speculation that their marriage was in trouble, especially after the arrest of Kutcher's once close friend Sean 'Diddy' Combs on federal sex trafficking charges one year later. Combs and Kutcher were pals in the early 2000s via Kutcher's MTV show Punk'd which began in 2003. 'I've got a lot I can't tell,' Kutcher admitted during a 2019 Hot Ones interview when asked about Combs' infamous parties. Weeks after the arrest, an insider claimed to Daily Mail that Kutcher deeply regrets his past friendship with Combs. 'Ashton absolutely regrets his friendship with Diddy considering what has happened,' the source revealed at the time. 'He feels lied to, betrayed, taken for granted, and manipulated.' The rapper was convicted in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution for arranging for girlfriends and male sex workers to travel to engage in sexual encounters that he filmed. Each carries a maximum 10 year sentence. He was also found not guilty of two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and one count of racketeering conspiracy. Kutcher will be returning to television in the Ryan Murphy created series The Beauty, along with Evan Peter, Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope. The series is based on the 2016 Image Comics title by the same name. The 'Beauty' is an sexually transmitted disease that goes untreated because it makes those infected more attractive, but with lethal effects. Two detectives looking into the deadly infection discover what appears to be a government conspiracy rife with greed and corruption. He and Ramos were seen shooting scenes for the series in Venice, Italy in March. The show is expected to debut sometime in the fall. Kunis recently completed work on Wake Up Dead Man, the latest Knives Out movie, co-starring Daniel Craig, Josh O'Conner and Glenn Close. The whodunit is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix on December 12.

Nadine Coyle takes to the stage alone as she performs without her Girls Aloud bandmates in South Tyneside - one year after their reunion tour
Nadine Coyle took to the stage in Tyne and Wear on Sunday as she performed solo without her Girls Aloud bandmates. The Northern Irish singer, 40, looked incredible as she dominated the stage at Bents Park, South Shields. Nadine was one of the final headliners for this year's South Tyneside Festival Sunday concert of 2025, which also saw Bjorn Again perform. She sang a selection of Girls Aloud's biggest tracks without the support of Cheryl, Kimberly Walsh and Nicola Roberts by her side. Pictures from her set show Nadine putting on an aminated performance while in Cheryl's old stomping grounds of South Tyneside. Nadine wore a matching two-piece set which boasted a clinched waist, showing off her incredible figure. Her set comes weeks after Kimberley Walsh admitted that her Girls Aloud bandmates are now in a 'different stage' of their lives as she reflected on their emotional reunion tour. In May last year, the group returned to the stage for the first time in 11 years to go on a huge UK tour, where their late bandmate Sarah Harding was kept as the focus throughout. The show included songs dedicated to Sarah, as well as emotional montages of the late star and a rendition of I'll Stand By You featuring her vocals. Kimberley, 43, admitted it was the band's biggest challenge to ensure Sarah had her moment. She told the Mirror: 'That was a tough moment every night, but we all needed it too, we all needed the minute. As hard as it was, I loved that part of the show.' The tour was also special for another reason - it was the first time Kimberley, Cheryl, and Nadine's children saw their mums, and 'Auntie Nicola,' as popstars. 'I think it was a little bit mind-blowing for them,' Kimberley laughed, explaining that her children - Bobby, nine, Cole, seven, and two-year-old Nate - mostly know her for her presenting work. The singer revealed that the group brought their children along on the tour buses and said it was fun for the kids to enjoy the celebrations together. In May last year, the group returned to the stage for the first time in 11 years to go on a huge UK tour, where their late bandmate Sarah Harding was kept as the focus throughout Nadine's daughter Anaíya is just six months younger than Kimberley's eldest, Bobby, while there is are only a few months between Cole and Bear (Cheryl's son with the late Liam Payne). Kimberley added: 'For us as mums, we're in a very different stage of our lives, so we were able to enjoy it for ourselves but also see it through their eyes.' Nadine previously revealed how she 'lives life to the fullest' following Sarah's death after her battle with breast cancer. She told The Mirror: 'I just try to enjoy it, because Sarah really enjoyed life. She made the most of so many things. That's really important. 'You can worry about so much stuff that just becomes irrelevant. Hold the people close that you love and spend time having fun, as much as you can.'

Oasis ‘shocked and saddened' after fan falls to his death at Wembley show
Oasis said they were 'shocked and saddened' after a fan fell to his death during their sell-out Wembley show this weekend. The man was pronounced dead at the scene after attending the concert on Saturday night. Witnesses described the 'horrendous' scenes after the man reportedly fell from a balcony during the band's long-anticipated reunion tour. Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. 'Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.' The Metropolitan Police have said that the man was aged in his 40s. Despite the tragic events on Saturday, organisers said the band's performance on Sunday would still go ahead. In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.' A witness told the Daily Mail: 'It was horrendous. 'The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting. 'It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don't know how on Earth it happened. 'It was heartbreaking. He was only young.' The fall happened during the latest in a run of stadium shows for the band's sell-out Live '25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009. A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. 'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. 'Tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned.'
