2027 4-star OT out of Tyler, Texas has committed to Texas A&M
On Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed that four-star OT DeMarrion Johnson out of Tyler, Texas, has committed to Texas A&M over several blue-blood programs, including Alabama and Florida. Johnson has been the starting left tackle since his 2023 freshman season, which is a clear sign that he is destined for great things at the next level.
Already a refined run blocker, utilizing his athleticism and 6'7", 300-pound frame, O-line coach Adam Cushing has continued to develop strong relationships with some of the top offensive line prospects in every cycle, resulting in six offensive line signees in the 2025 class. Right now, the future at left tackle could be 2025 five-star freshman tackle Lamont Rogers, but that is still up for debate given his position versatility.
Still, knowing that senior left tackle Trey Zuhn III will be departing after the 2025 season, landing Johnson this early in the process prepares the staff for the future. Johnson's commitment continues to prove that Texas A&M remains one of the top landing spots for offensive line development.
According to 247Sports, Johnson is currently positioned as the 135th-ranked prospect in the class, the 12th-ranked tackle, and the 24th-ranked prospect in Texas.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers gets into heated exchange with rookie Kaleb Johnson
Tensions were fiery on the final day of Steelers training camp — and the outspoken 20-year veteran QB Aaron Rodgers finally showed off some of the tough love he's been known to possess throughout his career. On Tuesday, sideline reporters spotted Rodgers having some choice words for rookie RB Kaleb Johnson — who ran the wrong route in practice, leaving the Steelers quarterback upset. "It wasn't some hushed sideline chat," one practice attendee remarked, via "You could see Rodgers' body language from across the field." Rodgers is no stranger to voicing his frustrations and holding his teammates accountable — such as the "red line incident" with WR Mike Williams on the Jets, perhaps his most infamous example. Previously, former NFL defensive end Chris Long hinted that these outbursts and frustrations from Rodgers, directed at his teammates, could result in drama between the four-time MVP and his star wide receiver DK Metcalf. While alarming at first glance, Rodgers' veteran leadership will do far more good than harm for these young players — which is especially true for Johnson, who's come under criticism recently. Steelers OLB Alex Highsmith injured at training camp, HC Mike Tomlin gives update
Another injury has struck the Pittsburgh Steelers at training camp. Following Sunday's practice at training camp, HC Mike Tomlin revealed to reporters that OLB Alex Highsmith had suffered a groin injury. "The only new injury to mention, Alex Highsmith didn't finish," Tomlin said. "Don't know the severity of it. Over here on the one-on-one pass rush, he stopped. He said he felt, maybe his groin, but we'll evaluate it and be more definitive next time we talk — not only about the injury but the significance of it." Highsmith has previously dealt with several groin injuries in his career, missing one game in 2021 and three games in 2024. Hopefully, his groin injury isn't as serious this go-around, but the Steelers do boast incredible depth behind him — underrated pass rusher OLB Nick Herbig and talented rookie OLB Jack Sawyer. We at Steelers Wire will provide an update on Highsmith when more information on the extent of his injury becomes available — but fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for one part of the best edge-rushing duo in the NFL. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin believes 2025 defense will rewrite history
The hype behind the 2025 Steelers defense is reaching historic levels — literally, if you ask head coach Mike Tomlin. On Tuesday's airing of 102.5 DVE, Tomlin gave his honest opinion on the 2025 ceiling for the Steelers defense — sharing that this All-Pro-filled unit is capable of creating history. "We feel really good about the prospects of this group," Tomlin said. "We gotta write that story, but we've got enough talent, we've got enough schematics to do big, big things. And when I say big things, I'm talking about historic things." T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Cameron Heyward represented one of the NFL's best pass-rushing units — but the recent additions of first-round DL Derrick Harmon and All-Pro CBs Darius Slay and Jalen Ramsey truly transform this defense on paper from elite to record-setting. The history in question isn't about becoming one of the greatest units statistically — it's about leaning on this stacked defense to bring a record-seventh Lombardi home to the Steel City of Pittsburgh.
