After Sony Pictures teased Spider-Man's new ensemble, Tom Holland suited up in the web-slinger's costume for a short teaser. On Saturday, the BAFTA winner revealed his costume for the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to premiere in theaters on July 31, 2026. The studio previously teased that 'something brand new is coming,' sharing a first glimpse at the superhero uniform on Friday, marking the 63rd anniversary of the character's first comic book appearance. In October, Sony added the follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) to its summer 2026 schedule, later revealing the title in March at CinemaCon. 'I'm obviously over the moon and so excited,' Holland previously said. 'Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal. And I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of COVID; we shot the entire film on stages.' Holland continued, 'Now, we're really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we're starting in Glasgow and we're gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we're putting together. So it's gonna feel like making [2017's] Spider-Man 1 again. It's been such a long time since I've done it, it's gonna feel like a breath of fresh air, and I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we're putting together.' Helmed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton, producers include Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige returning. Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ, with production expected to commence after she and Holland both have completed filming Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have also joined the cast in undisclosed roles. YouTube is testing Instagram-style collabs
YouTube has started testing a new collaboration feature, similar to Instagram's and TikTok's. A Google employee explained on YouTube Help that it will allow creators to add collaborators to a video so that they can be recommended to each other's audiences. The test is only available to a small group of creators for now, but it sounds like YouTube has plans to expand its availability in the future. Lindsey Gamble, an influencer marketing consultant and advisor, has posted a screenshot showing how the experimental feature works on Threads. As you can see in the image Gamble posted, adding collaborators would show their names next to the creators on their channel. If there are too many, at least on mobile, the collaborators would show as "...and more" next to the creator's name. Tapping on it would bring up the list of people involved in the project, with the Subscribe button next to their name. On Instagram and TikTok, the creator who uploads the content will have to invite another account as a collaborator, who'll then have to approve the invitation. That'll most likely be the case here, as well, in order to ensure that creators don't randomly add other users to their videos. It's not clear, however, whether the collaborators can see details typically reserved for the uploader's eyes. As with any experimental YouTube and Google product, the company will be taking the testers' feedback into account before deciding if it'll give the feature a wide release. fff
