Traffic restrictions to begin at Pioneer Parkway and University Street
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Electrical work will cause turn lanes at the Pioneer Parkway and University street intersection to close down to all traffic.
The work will begin at 7 a.m. and will last until through the end of the week. The turn lane on eastbound West Pioneer Parkway that turns onto North University Street is closed to all traffic, said Nick McMillion, a spokesman for the Peoria Public Works Department.
So will the turn lane from University Street onto eastbound Pioneer Parkway will also be closed to all traffic, he said.
The work is part of the city's Pioneer Parkway and University Street Intersection Reconstruction Project, he said.
West Willow Knolls Drive or West Townline Road are the designated detours for the area. Drivers should use extra caution in the work zone.
