Scott Speedman to Star in RJ Decker Pilot at ABC — What Does This Mean for Grey's Anatomy?

Per our sister site Deadline, which was first to report the news, Speedman's role as Grey's Anatomy's Nick Marsh is not expected to be impacted. Should RJ Decker receive a series order, Speedman would continue to recur on the long-running medical drama.
RJ Decker hails from Elementary creator Rob Doherty. Paul McGuigan, who directed the first episodes of Scandal and Will Trent, is attached to helm the pilot. He'll executive-produce alongside Doherty, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Hiaasen.

The White House had some strong words to say about The View co-host Joy Behar after she said Trump was 'so jealous' of former President Barack Obama. During an earlier press conference, in an attempt to distract from questions about the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump accused Obama of 'treason' and his administration of trying to 'steal' the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. In response, Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush called Trump's claims 'outrageous,' 'bizarre' and a 'weak attempt at distraction.' On The View, Behar also had some thoughts. 'First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama,' she said, referring to the deadly insurrection on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which was mostly led by Trump's supporters. 'The thing about him is he's so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: trim, smart, handsome, happily married and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy,' Behar added. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers then clapped back at the View co-host in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, which read, 'Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's no surprise that The View's ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.' Over the past week, Trump has been firing off attacks at late night hosts after it was announced that Stephen Colbert's The Late Show would be coming to an end in May 2026. CBS, which is owned by Paramount Global, cited a 'financial decision' amid a declining linear TV landscape for the cancellation. However, there has been other speculation swirling as the news came shortly after Paramount agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit from Trump, who sued over former Vice President Kamala Harris' 60 Minutes interview. Sources previously told THR that Paramount believes the lawsuit posed a threat to Skydance's deal to acquire the company, as it seeks approval by the FCC under the Trump administration. Colbert has openly criticized the settlement on his CBS show. Following the news, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to positively gloat about The Late Show being canceled, writing, 'I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!' Colbert later clapped back at the president, saying on his show, 'How dare you, sir? 'We're not in Richmond anymore': What we know about 'Ted Lasso' Season 4
Believe it — Season 4 of Ted Lasso has officially begun production, Apple TV+ announced this week. That's right, Coach Lasso, the show's beloved mustachioed and mild-mannered namesake, who helped guide audiences through a global pandemic with optimism and humanity, is back on the football pitch. Well, this calls for biscuits. Filming has officially kicked off in star Jason Sudeikis's (Ted Lasso) hometown of Kansas City, Mo. Mayor Quinton Lucas called it 'another major victory for the city's rapidly expanding film industry,' in a post on X, in which he appears to be sporting a blue Ted Lasso hat. Additional filming is also set to take place across the pond in London. Apple TV posted a video on Instagram of Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Sudeikis are sitting in what appears to be a booth at a traditional American restaurant as some of the key members of AFC Richmond get ready to film a scene. The caption reads: 'We're not in Richmond anymore. Ted Lasso Season 4 is now in production.' The streaming service confirmed back in March that there would be a fourth season. At the end of Season 3, Ted ends up returning to the U.S. after coaching the fictional AFC Richmond soccer team in London in order to be closer to his son, Henry. In case you haven't been paying close attention, ESPN announcer Joe Buck has spent the past few days hosting "Good Morning America" on ABC. Buck, the voice of "Monday Night Football," is filling in for ABC broadcaster George Stephanopoulos. According to reports, the latter is on vacation. The rest of the "Good Morning America" crew, however, was at the studio for Friday's show. Before signing off from "Good Morning America" this Friday morning, Michael Strahan gave Buck a hug on national TV. Unfortunately for the Hall of Famer, it was a pretty awkward exchange. For some reason, Buck didn't exactly match Strahan's energy. He simply said, "Thank you." After watching Buck reluctantly embrace Strahan on "Good Morning America," sports fans are convinced they don't see eye-to-eye. At the very least, fans believe Buck is not that fond of the former NFL star. "ABC told Joe Buck, we don't think you do enough to earn your salary, so we're going to torture you by having to be on the same set a few days with someone as arrogant as you, Michael Strahan," one fan wrote on X. "Joe Buck and Michael Strahan look totally comfortable with this embrace," Awful Announcing wrote. We'll see if Buck comments on this less than ideal exchange with Strahan. In the meantime, Buck is gearing up for his fourth season as the play-by-play commentator for "Monday Night Football."
