NCAA super regionals set after frenzy of upsets
With No. 1 Vanderbilt and No. 2 Texas bounced in the regionals they hosted, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Auburn and No. 6 LSU are now among the favorites as the road to Omaha continues with the eight super regionals beginning Friday. Arkansas will face defending national champion and No. 14 seed Tennessee.
Vandy and Texas were certainly not alone in the frenzy of regional upsets. No. 7 Georgia and No. 10 Ole Miss were also sent packing. Murray St. eliminated Ole Miss to win the first regional in program history and become only the 10th No. 4 seed in Division I baseball history to advance to the super regionals.
Following the upsets, only three of the eight super regional sites will pit ranked teams against each other, while two will feature unranked teams vying for a spot in the College World Series.
Meanwhile, the ACC emerged from the regionals with five teams. That includes No. 5 North Carolina, which finished the regular season ranked No. 1, and former powerhouse Miami, which returns to the super regionals for the first time since 2016.

The three-game super regionals will run June 6-9 across the sites to determine the eight that will advance to the CWS, which begins June 13. The ESPN family of networks will broadcast the games across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, as well as on Fubo.

Prince's estate is being sued by his Purple Rain co-star Apollonia
Prince's protege Apollonia Kotero has filed a lawsuit against the estate of the late musical icon, claiming they tried 'to steal' the rights to her name. The legal filing from the Santa Monica, California native, 66, came in response to an application from Paisley Park Enterprises LLC endeavoring to trademark the name Apollonia. Apollonia, whose full name is Patricia Apollonia Kotero, said that the estate has also taken nefarious measures to 'cancel' trademark applications she had previously submit in the legal docs reviewed by Daily Mail. The seven-time Grammy winner, whose timeless hits include Kiss, 1999 and Let's Go Crazy, died at the age of 57 on April 21, 2016 from an accidental fentanyl overdose at his home in Chanhassen, Minnesota . Prince's estate has sought to 'acquire all things related to Prince even though it has no legal right to do so,' Apollonia's legal team said. Apollonia initially met Prince while auditioning for a role in his 1984 film Purple Rain , which she later co-starred in with him. Daily Mail has reached out to reps for both parties for further comment on the story. Apollonia's lawyer Daniel Cislo told the court that the late artist 'consented to and encouraged' her to use the name moving forward 'in her professional endeavors.' Apollonia's lawyer said in the court filing that 'if ever the fundamental principles of fairness - waiver, acquiescence, and laches apply, they apply here.'
