. Today, we reached Poonch with around 800 pilgrims from Jammu to visit
Baba Budha Amarnath
. People here have given us a warm welcome. The arrangements made for the Yatra are commendable and of high quality. Devotees have come from across the states, from Kerala, Meerut, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, and Bengal. All of them salute their service."
Another pilgrim, Balbir Singh from Jal Shakti Shri Gurdas Sewa Society, said, "It is heartening to see the second batch of the Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra reach Poonch today. This group, with nearly eleven hundred pilgrims from across India, was warmly welcomed. We wait for this Yatra all year, it feels like a festival for every family here. There is hardly a household in Poonch that does not come out to witness it. This journey reflects the spirit of unity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari."
"It's a message of brotherhood and the vision of Shri Shri Mansa Ji Maharaj from our Gurudwara Sahib, Shri Banda Nigali Sahib. Swami Budha Amarnath Ji mandir is situated between the main belt of Pir Panchal Range at Rajpura Mandi, which is 25 km to the northeast of Poonch city.

Swami Budha Amarnath Ji mandir is located on the confluence of two gushing streams, namely Nallah Gagri and Pulsta Nadi. There are four doors in the Mandir, and there is a natural Shivlinga inside the Mandir.
Thousands of devotees from different parts of the country visit Baba Budha Amarnath Ji temple during the annual yatra before Raksha Bandhan. A big Annual festival known as Budha Amarnath Ji Mela is held at the temple.

Almost 2 crore passengers travel on MSRTC buses over Raksha Bandhan weekend
The long Raksha Bandhan weekend, coupled with holidays, saw a huge passenger surge for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. From August 8 to 11, nearly two crore people rode MSRTC buses, and the corporation earned a revenue of Rs 137.37 crore—around Rs 16 crore more than in the same period last year, thanks to some extent by a fare increase. Monday saw the highest single-day collections of over Rs 39 crore, as per MSRTC officials. Narali Purnima on Friday, Raksha Bandhan on Saturday, and Sunday were followed by the return journey rush on Monday. Assuming such demand, the MSRTC deployed extra buses at the divisional level. Also, parallel services were operated on routes where the passenger load exceeded 60 per cent. Revenue collections were Rs 30.06 crore on Friday, Rs 36.86 crore on Saturday, Rs 33.36 crore on Sunday, and Rs 39.9 crore on Monday. As many as 1.93 crore passengers availed of the service in these four days, and 88 lakh of them were women. Several of them got the 50 per cent fare concession under the Mahila Samman Yojana, for which the MSRTC is compensated by the Government. MSRTC officials said that Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj during Diwali are traditionally among the most revenue-generating days for the corporation. 'Family outings on these festivals result in a big spurt in intercity and intrastate travel. We plan our timings accordingly,' an MSRTC official said. 'This time around, the extra services we ran during the festival season ensured we were able to meet the demand well and post higher revenues.'

For Raksha Bandhan, more trains were deployed during peak hours, and additional crowd management efforts were put in place at key interchange stations to maintain smooth passenger flow.
