Former First Lady Michelle Obama paid her respects following the death of chef Anne Burrell, who died unexpectedly this week at the age of 55.
'So saddened to hear about Anne's passing,' she wrote in the comments section of Good Morning America's Al Roker's own post about Burrell's death.
'I'll always be thankful for her support of Let's Move, and for joining us at the White House Easter Egg Roll to inspire kids and families with her healthy recipes,' she added. 'She was such a warm and talented chef and my condolences go out to her loved ones.'
Roker echoed those sentiments in his own message.
'So very saddening to hear of Anne Burrell's passing at 55,' he wrote. 'What a force of nature. A truly delightful human who was supportive of other chefs and a true delight to be around. Our hearts go out to her family and close friends.'
Burrell, a beloved Food Network star known for shows like Worst Cooks in America, Iron Chef America, and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, passed away at her Brooklyn, New York home.
According to reports, Burrell was found unconscious and unresponsive and was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy is still pending, though some reports suggest possibilities such as cardiac arrest .

ESPN's "NFL Live" will do its first live broadcast from Nashville on Tuesday, June 24 on location at the "Tight End University" camp founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen. TEU is heading into its fifth year as a Nashville-based summer event. More than 70 tight ends have been announced as participants in this year's festivities, including Tennessee Titans rookie Gunnar Helm.
