Jake Paul is ‘not a boxer' and Tommy Fury ‘can't fight' says legendary promoter Bob Arum is sensational double blast
LEGENDARY promoter Bob Arum let out a scathing double blast of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.
Arum was not a fan of Paul's recent points win against Mike Tyson, who controversially came out of retirement aged 58.

Over 100 MILLION tuned in to watch on Netflix, but now Paul returns on June 28 against ex-middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Chavez - son of the legendary Julio Cesar Sr - has suffered problems outside the ring with substance abuse and lack of commitment.
And Arum told FightHype: 'That's not even boxing. Chavez Jr, I thought he had hung up the gloves a long time ago.
"Jake Paul is not a boxer. It's spectacle. The Tyson event was sort of demeaning for the sport of boxing. Tyson was an old man.
"What are we talking about? But again, if Netflix or somebody else wants to pay for that event, that's fine. I have no interest in it.
"I have absolutely no interest in a Jake Paul-Chavez Jr fight, because it's not boxing.'
Paul's only defeat in his 12 bouts came in 2023 against Fury losing a split-decision in Saudi Arabia.
ESPN - who have a TV deal with Arum's Top Rank company - aired the celebrity grudge match on pay-per-view in America.

So Arum was part of the promotion - but refused to hold back on either Paul, 28, or Fury, 26.
He said: 'Jake Paul is not fighting a real fighter. He's smarter than you and me combined.

"It's not a scam because people know what they're getting, but he's not interested in fighting somebody that can really give him a whooping.
"I mean, I remember when Jake Paul, before he caught onto this stuff, and I was in England and he was fighting Tyson Fury's half-brother Tommy Fury, who can't fight.
"Tommy Fury won every round, won a decision and there's very few heavyweights that you can name that Tommy Fury would last more than one or two rounds."

His successor has already been confirmed as Billie Piper, who previously played the Doctor's companion Rose Tyler in 2005. After speculation that this exit is happening as a result of a rift with the BBC, Ncuti has addressed his departure in a video, explaining that the demands of the role had taken a toll on him both physically and mentally. He shared: "It's a role that demands a lot of you physically and emotionally and mentally. The actors playing the Doctor are only actors playing the Doctor. Unfortunately, we are mere mortals. "I would love to have the energy and the youth to be able to do this full time for the rest of my life, but my knees are telling me it's time." He also took to social media to reflect on the wild journey his version of the Doctor had experienced over the last two years. Ncuti wrote: "'Monsters, goblins, gods, human-eating Slugs, invisible brain altering creatures, evil barbers, conspiracy theorists… you've had quite a busy two years. Well done and rest up son. Thank you endlessly XV." In his farewell message, Ncuti also acknowledged how hard it is to say goodbye to the role, saying: "You know when you get cast, at some point, you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. This journey has been one that I will never forget and a role that will be part of me forever. "There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe." His comments come in the wake of online speculation that he had been suddenly dropped from the role. Some fans pointed out that Ncuti previously said he was preparing to film another season of Doctor Who, and questioned what prompted the change of plan. One posted online saying: "In October 2024, Ncuti Gatwa was on The Graham Norton Show saying he was going to be filming another series of DW [Doctor Who] next year. In June 2025, he officially leaves the show and regenerates. This was never the plan. What a shame." However, the BBC was quick to shut down those claims. A spokesperson said: "Whilst we never comment on the future of the Doctor, any suggestion that Ncuti Gatwa has been 'axed' is pure fiction." Now Billie Piper is going to be the second woman ever to play the Time Lord, following Jodie Whittaker, who also made a surprise cameo in the finale.

Jamaican boxing legend Mike McCallum dies aged 68
Jamaican boxing legend Mike McCallum, who was a three-weight world champion during the 1980s and 1990s, has died at the age of 68. McCallum died suddenly near his home in Las Vegas on Saturday (31 May), with the Jamaica Observer reporting that he was on his way to the gym when he fell ill and pulled his car off the road. He was later found unresponsive and later pronounced dead. Known 'The Bodysnatcher' due to his vicious punching ability, especially to the body, McCallum was the first Jamaican to become a boxing world champion – eventually winning titles at junior middleweight, middleweight and light heavyweight between 1984 and 1995. After retiring in 1997 with 49 wins, five losses and one draw from 55 fights, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003. Jamaica's sport minister Olivia Grange wrote on Instagram: "It is with utter and complete sadness that I learned of the death of Jamaica's three-time World Boxing Champion Michael McKenzie McCallum. "I express my personal condolences to his mother, siblings and his children. On behalf of the Ministry of Sport, I take this opportunity to extend our sympathies to the family and friends of this legendary Jamaican. "We hope they find strength in this time of bereavement." His most famous fights came against the likes of Michael Watson, Steve Collins, James Toney and Roy Jones Jr, having turned professional in 1981 after winning welterweight gold for Jamaica at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. McCallum became world champion when he beat Ireland's Sean Mannion at Madison Square Garden in New York in 1984, claiming the WBA junior middleweight crown, and won his first 32 fights in the paid ranks, including successful title defences against Milton McCrory and Don Curry. His first defeat came in Italy against Sumbu Kalambay in 1988 when trying to add the WBA middleweight title to his collection but he did claim that belt a year later by earning a split-decision win over Herol Graham in the Royal Albert Hall in London. Successful defences came against Collins in Boston and Watson back at the Royal Albert Hall before avenging his Kalambay defeat in Monaco. December 1991 saw the first of a trilogy of fights against Toney over the course of his remaining career – with a split-decision draw and majority-decision loss in the space of nine months twice denying him the IBF middleweight belt. He did win a world title in a third weight division as a 38-year-old in 1994 when Jeff Harding was defeated for the WBC light heavyweight title but lost it to Fabrice Tiozzo a year later. His career then ended with losses to Jones Jr and Toney, the latter at cruiserweight. McCallum was hugely technically gifted as fighter and is undoubtedly the greatest Jamaican boxer of all time, as well as one of the best of his era, who leaves a huge legacy behind. 'Rest in Peace to the legendary Mike 'The Body Snatcher' McCallum,' read a tribute from the WBA. 'Former WBA world champion and one of the most technically gifted fighters of his era. Thank you for the fights, the lessons, and the greatness."

She said: 'Just wanted to tell everybody that me and the girls and Emma are safe with a roof over our heads! It's been a whirlwind but we made it through the last three days and managed to save all our belongings too!
