'Holy sh**!' man claims $30 million Powerball win after 'rough trot'
A man who has claimed a $30 million Powerball win said he couldn't stop shaking.
The man from Cessnock in NSW held the only division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1512 on Thursday, May 8. He pocketed the entire $30 million jackpot.
An official from The Lott reached out to the unsuspecting new multi-millionaire after the draw.
"Holy shit!" the man said.
"Bless you, man! Bless you!" he added before bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
"I just had this ticket on the fridge. I was looking at it this afternoon and thought, 'wouldn't it be lovely to win'.
"The ticket was there with all the bills. There will be no more worrying about bills now. I don't care if I get a bill now!
"I used to wonder what I'd do if I got a winning phone call, but now all I can do is shake!
"I don't think I'll get any sleep tonight now.
"I better take a breath or two."
The winner shared he'd been through a bit of a "rough trot" of late but saw the win as a sign of good things to come for him and his family.
"For a start, I'll look at buying a new house and looking after the family. Then, I'll take it from there," he said.
"I'm going to ring my kids right now and tell them the news!"
The man's winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Shell Aberdare Newsagency.

'Oh, this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant … I've had a (rough) couple of years,' he said. 'I am just getting back on my feet, and I still have a mortgage when everyone else (my age) is about to retire. I have been saying I will have to work until I am 70, but not now.' The luckiest numbers drawn in Powerball are 9, 7, 17, 11, 3, 23 and 2 and the least drawn numbers are 33, 31, 29, 15, 13, 26 and 8. ‘All a dream': Tassie man pockets enormous $70m Oz Lotto jackpot win
A Tasmanian man has claimed the $70m Oz Lotto jackpot – the second-largest jackpot prize in the lottery's history. The winning numbers for Tuesday night's draw 1633 were 44, 34, 45, 1, 46, 25, and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 9, 14, and 16. The man purchased the sole winning ticket online, and despite claiming to have checked his Oz Lotteries account more than 15 times since 11pm on Tuesday – and going into work as normal on Wednesday – he had no idea that he had taken home the winning prize. The Tasmanian man told The Lott that he was set to retire soon and purchase a home with his partner. The The Lott team called him on Wednesday morning to confirm his massive win. 'Oh wow. I don't have to come to work anymore, it's -1C here at the moment where I am working,' he told The Lott. 'I might just go and hand my resignation in right now.' The man, the sole Division 1 winner, admitted that he couldn't quite believe the news. 'I have hardly slept all night,' he told them. 'I was wondering if I was dreaming, and I was going to wake up and someone was going to say, it was all just a dream.' The man said he was hoping to spend part of his $70m winnings on a home with his partner after experiencing a 'rough couple of years'. 'Buying a dream home with my partner and helping my family out,' he said. 'Oh, this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant … I've had a (rough) couple of years. 'I am just getting back on my feet and I still have a mortgage when everyone else (my age) is about to retire.
