Heavy rains delay more than 325 flights at Delhi airport
Airport officials seemed unaware of the disruptions when contacted, but flight tracking website Flightradar24 confirmed delays affecting both domestic and international flights. While an Air India source claimed delays were limited to 15-20 minutes, actual flight data showed much longer hold-ups. Key affected flights included AI 891 to Chennai (delayed by 59 minutes), AI 2577 to Hyderabad (52 minutes late), AI 101 to New York (81-minute delay), and an Air India flight to Leh (50 minutes behind schedule).
Air India Express flights also faced disruptions, with IX 2508 to Bengaluru departing over an hour late and 1193 to Guwahati delayed by 41 minutes. IndiGo's 6E 11 to Istanbul took off 2 hours and 2 minutes late, while 6E 5317 to Varanasi was delayed by 52 minutes and 6E 5066 to Ranchi by 48 minutes. An Akasa Air spokesperson confirmed their Gorakhpur-bound flight QP 1882 was delayed by 27 minutes.
An Indigo source said there was no major disruption to their flights."Very few flights were impacted and delay was not much too," the source said.
Air India Express haven't provided any official statement on the disruptions. With most airlines failing to issue clear communications, it remains uncertain whether the delays and cancellations were solely due to the heavy rainfall or involved other technical issues.

While the other subsequent listing of Ethiopian Airlines cost Rs 12624 for the same route. So are the mysterious sky gods at play, or is the customer getting ripped off by being offered the same product in different packaging? This is where the codeshare flight comes into play. The agreement also enables major carriers to connect to the less-frequented or remote airports, thereby enhancing their global connectivity. In this example of a round-trip journey from New Delhi to Berlin and back, a passenger can save a significant amount on the first listing, which includes one leg of the journey operated by IndiGo. This, despite the duration of the journeys being almost identical in both listings. IndiGo flyers stage sit-in on Delhi airport tarmac after Darbhanga flight is cancelled over night landing curbs
New Delhi: Indigo passengers of a flight from Delhi to Darbhanga in Bihar staged a sit-in protest at the airport's tarmac on Thursday evening and refused to leave after their delayed flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport was cancelled. The cancellation was announced as night restrictions would be in place at Darbhanga airport when the flight reaches and landing would not be permitted. Security staff from the airport and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were called to make the protesters vacate the area and escort them to the terminal. Flight 6E360 was among the multiple flights at Delhi airport that suffered huge delays before take-off as water-logged roads in the City due to heavy rains and slow moving traffic made it difficult for both passengers and crew to reach the airport. Bad weather at the airport also caused delays. The A320 Neo aircraft was scheduled to depart at 2 .20 pm but got delayed. It was finally readying to depart two hours later. Passengers were seated inside the aircraft but the flight did not take-off for half an hour and an announcement was made that the trip had been cancelled.

Air India Express MUMBAI: Air India Express is set to strengthen its domestic network with the addition of three new cities, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun, marking another milestone in the airline's rapid expansion. With these routes, the Tata-owned carrier will operate across 41 domestic and 17 international destinations, totaling 58 points on its network.
