UPSC exam: Delhi Metro services to begin at 6 am tomorrow
Services on select Delhi Metro lines will begin earlier than usual on May 25 to facilitate candidates appearing for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination conducted by the UPSC, the DMRC said on Thursday.Services from terminal stations on Line-7 (Pink Line), Line-8 (Magenta Line) and Line-9 (Grey Line) will begin at 6 am, instead of the usual start time of 7 am on Sundays. The early operations will help candidates reach their examination centres on time, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.advertisement"This arrangement is being made to facilitate the candidates appearing for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination held by UPSC this Sunday," Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of DMRC, said in a statement.
On the Pink Line, services will begin from Majlis Park, Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar, Shiv Vihar and Majpur-Babarpur towards their respective terminal stations at 6 am. Similarly, trains on the Magenta Line will start at 6 am from Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden. However, services from Krishna Park Extension will begin slightly earlier at 5:50 am, he said.On the Grey Line, services from both Dhansa Bus Stand and Dwarka terminals will commence at 6 am, he said.The services on all other metro lines will operate according to the normal Sunday schedule, the DMRC said.Must Watch

Engineering Services exam held successfully across 12 centres
Patna: Preliminary test (PT) of Indian Engineering Services, organised by the Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ), was successfully conducted on Sunday at 12 designated centres across the state capital. The exam was held in two shifts—the first from 9.30am to 11.30am, while the second from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Out of a total of 5,772 registered candidates, 2,579 appeared in the first shift, while 2,558 were present in the second shift. The exam was conducted amid tight security. As per the directions of the commissioner Chandrashekhar Singh, magistrates and police officers were deployed at all the centres in accordance with the standards set by the UPSC. There was a mixed response from the students about the level of the question papers. Rahul Kumar, a civil engineering candidate who appeared for the second time at the Magadh Mahila College centre, described the overall paper as moderate. "The questions followed a similar pattern to the previous year's examination. The first shift comprised questions from general studies and engineering aptitude. Another candidate, who appeared for the first time, said, "I found this paper easier than the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). I was a bit nervous before the commencement of the exam as this was my first attempt".
