Glen Powell's ex left 'shattered' after Sydney Sweeney romance claims

Model Gigi Paris has spoke out about the breakdown of a high profile relationship as she split from actor Glen Powell amid rumours of a romance with co-star Sydney Sweeney Gigi Paris has revealed exactly what her ex-boyfriend told her amid rumours he was having an affair with a co-star. The model did not explicitly name her ex when making the claims, yet she was in a high-profile romance with actor Glen Powell for over three years before splitting in 2023. Around the same time as Gigi, 32, and Glen's split, he was promoting his romantic comedy Anyone But You with Sydney Sweeney and was bombarded with on-set romance rumours. The pair seemed to play into the speculation as they promoted the film, with Glen, 36, admitting the tactic "worked wonderfully". ‌ Fans quickly noticed their intense chemistry, with many pointing out how touchy and flirty they were during interviews. However, Sydney later shut down the speculation while hosting Saturday Night Live, calling the online rumours "disorienting and unfair." ‌ Despite Sydney playing off any connection with Glen, Gigi has spoke about how she coped with intense rumours about a past relationship that is understood to refer to Glen. She admitted to being "blindsided" and "shattered" when claims about her boyfriend hit the headlines. Gigi spoke of an A-list ex, who she did not name, that allegedly brushed off her concerns and told her: "This is what I have to do for my job." She added on the Too Much podcast: "I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder: 'Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she okay with this? What the f***?' "Or stand up for myself and say: 'No, I'm actually not okay with this, and I'm walking away.' So that's what I decided to do." Gigi insisted: "It wasn't a way to monetise the breakup. It wasn't a way to twist the story around. I was shattered, shattered. "I just wanted respect. Especially if it's gonna be public, like don't make an a** out of me. Just don't make a fool out of someone you've been with for over three years, talking about forever with. Just have some decency, you know?" The model said the situation was "handled" wrongly and left her feeling "like I was just fed to the dogs" as the publicity stunt unfolded. Gigi revealed her reason for leaving the relationship and added: "I just hit a threshold of what I could take, and I was just so disappointed and that was that." ‌ Gigi hinted at the split from Glen in 2023 in a post on social media that read: "Know your worth & onto the next," in an apparent dig at her actor ex. Following the split, Glen gave Sydney "all the credit" for using the affair rumours to promote their movie. "I don't have the mental capacity to pull anything like this off, but she's very smart. She's very smart," he said at the time. He added to Business Insider that "the only reason it made things harder for me to lean into that stuff was that I was going through a very real breakup amidst a promotional tour." ‌ Glen said: "I was with someone that I really loved and cared about and was trying to kind of make sense of a lot of stuff." The Top Gun star claimed it was "easier" for Sydney as she was "in a very committed and wonderful relationship". Sydney confessed to being "on every call" that involved promoting the film as she said: "I wanted to make sure that we were actively having a conversation with the audience as we were promoting this film, because at the end of the day, they're the ones who created the entire narrative." The actress has finally confirmed this month that she is now single following rumours of the breakdown of her engagement to Jonathan Davino. Confirming her single status, Sydney told The Sunday Times: 'I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it.' Sydney was with Jonathan for seven years, with the pair planning to get married in May. Their wedding was called off and according to Page Six, the split came as she was "extremely busy" with her acting career which brought new added "tension" to their relationship. The Mirror has contacted Glen and Sydney's representatives for comment.

The 2025 event takes place on Saturday June 14 to honour the city's LGBTQ+ community. As well as the annual Pride march and performances across three stages in Slessor Gardens, there will be stalls and workshops. Last year's event was enjoyed by huge crowds who added plenty of colour to the city centre. The event will kick off with a parade through the city centre on Saturday morning. Those taking part in the parade are asked to gather at the Steeple Church, next to the Overgate, from 10am. The parade will make its way past City Square, up Reform Street, past The McManus towards the Wellgate, and down Murraygate and Castle Street before ending at Slessor Gardens, where the event will continue throughout the afternoon. Groups must register their participation on the Dundee Pride website. This year's event will be headlined by Cheryl Hole, who appeared in the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, along with singer and actress Claire Sweeney. More acts are set to be announced. Performers will appear on three stages – the main stage, the queer stage and the dance tent. Dundee Pride is free to attend, with tickets available to book online, although the charity that organises the event also welcomes donations. There is an option to purchase separate tickets for the march and Slessor Gardens, as well as combined tickets. There is the opportunity to buy comfort package tickets, allowing you to enter the comfort zone in Slessor Gardens with extra facilities. Priced at £20.76, this ticket gives you access to separate toilets, a bar and seating. The Met Office forecast shows there may be light showers throughout the day in Dundee, changing to sunny intervals by early evening. Temperatures will reach a high of 19°C, but it will feel more like 15°C for the majority of the day.
