I was annoyed by leak on our estate but council only came to fix it after I listed it as a waterfall on Google Maps
Ilona Papava grew so frustrated that no one came to fix the pesky drip in Camden's Lissenden Gardens estate, north London, that she jokingly added it as a 'historical landmark' on Google Maps.
But just a short while after being listed as a local attraction, Camden Council finally fixed the leak - thought to come from an overflowing water tank.
Mrs Papava, 29, said: 'It had been dripping for at least half a year. Water was constantly dripping into a neighbour's house.
'It didn't really affect me directly but I saw it every day when I went to walk my dogs at Hampstead Heath.
'It was from the roof, coming from the water tank. It was overflowing and the water was coming through the roof.'
On what made her list the leak as a local landmark Mrs Papava added: 'I was just bored and annoyed. I was thinking about how furious I would be if it was facing my flat.
'My partner and I started joking that it was a waterfall. Eventually, neighbours left reviews and it became this Google Maps joke.
'We all had a laugh writing the reviews and I am very happy it has finally been resolved.
'But it did take half a year, and it probably wasn't that hard to fix in the first place.
'Some residents had reached out before but nothing happened.
'You could hear it every time you walked past it. It was dripping onto the bins so you would've got wet if you took your bins out there.'
One five-star review of the 'waterfall' on Google Maps read: 'Just back from Iceland, and believe it or not, none of its waterfalls hold a candle to this one.
'There's something otherworldly about urban water cascading through the streets of Lissenden. Truly magical. Highly recommend.'
Another review pokes fun of the Council's failure to fix it for so long, saying: 'The Great Urban Waterfall - a true marvel of... questionable plumbing by Camden Council.
'Standing proudly against the brick facade of what appears to be a perfectly ordinary apartment building, this historic downspout-gone-rogue offers visitors a raw, unfiltered glimpse into what happens when Camden Council says, 'We'll fix it next asap,' and then never does.

Camden Council confirmed the leak, identified in pipework, has now been fixed.
A spokesman said: 'We apologise to residents for the issues they have been experiencing.
'We have now fixed this issue and stopped the leak.'

But for Frank Ilett, the Red Devils ' poor form has quite literally been an increasingly heavy burden weighing on his head. 14 14 14 14 That's because back on October 5, 2024, Frank set himself the challenge of not cutting his hair until United won five games in a row. But with United struggling to even put two wins together last season, Frank, the man behind The United Strand, is now over 10 months - or 313 days - into his challenge. Speaking exclusively to SunSport, the 29-year-old who lives in Spain told us about the hairy challenge his ever-growing barnet represents, saying: "It's been a very tough summer. "It's been very hot, especially here in Spain, where I am at the moment, it's absolutely boiling. "That's been the biggest difficulty for sure. And then even things like when I shower, having to dry my hair in the heat in the heat and then having to use a hairdryer next to my head is too much. "It naturally takes hours to dry... I've been using a headband to try and keep it off my face. "I recently tried some curl cream, and that seemed to calm it down a bit, which is great, but obviously it takes time to do those things, whereas this is how it is more naturally." Frank previously spoke to SunSport in March - just as his challenge was really growing out - when he had just hit 60,000 followers on his Instagram page alongside the millions of views he had received. But Frank is now also bearing the weight of being a mini-celebrity, having appeared on outlets such as Sky Sports, BBC and CBS, all while his Instagram page has boomed to more than 200,000 followers. Curl cream companies have approached him to use their products, and fans have asked him for autographs around Old Trafford when he visited at the back end of last season, including the thrilling Lyon clash in the Europa League. EXCLUSIVE: I trained with an EFL team - I almost fainted and the drills were so complex, it's a far-cry from Sunday League Frank, who jokes the description of his fame should be used "loosely", explained: "I have had a few companies that have got into contact with things like curl creams and there are a few more talks with other hair brands. "There are a lot of barbers who do get in contact. They would love to be involved in some way, but it's tough to know what day (cutting it off) that will be... "Every interaction I've had has been positive. I'm living in Spain, where I don't think as many people know me, but there are still a few who come up to take photos with me, and when I visit England it's a different world. "I went to the United-Lyon game - seriously the best game I've been to live and I'm not sure it will ever be beaten - and I reckon while I was there I probably took over 200 photos with different people." At the latest measurement, Frank revealed his hair is 18cm long. However, that is still not long enough for the perfect ending Frank is planning when he is eventually able to say goodbye to his now iconic curly locks. Frank told SunSport he has been raising money for the charity MindUK, even doing an ice bucket challenge earlier in the summer. When United do eventually manage to win five games in a row, he aims to cut it off at Old Trafford and plans to donate the money raised from his freshly sheared hair to the Little Princess Trust. 14 14 14 14 Also speaking about the reaction of his loved ones to his challenge, he explained: "Everyone's just supportive and laughing along with everyone else. "Nothing has changed there, they know I'm committed until the end and so they have to be too… "That's been the plan [to donate to charity] for quite a while, if it gets long enough. But believe it or not, it isn't long enough to donate yet. "At the moment, my hair is 18cm long and it has to be at least 25cm to 30cm to be able to donate it. But either way, I'd love to raise some money for charity. "I've been raising money for MindUK, but when it gets nearer the time, I'm going to do something. I think it's going to be the Little Princess Trust. "I think the perfect ending would be to cut it at Old Trafford." Frank believes United have had a positive summer, with big money spent on the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha being what was "needed at the moment". He has also backed Diego Leon and Benjamin Sesko to come good, but emphasised the need for fans to give them time to grow, as they are far from the finished article. That being said, a new midfielder and goalkeeper would be very welcome additions to the squad, according to Frank. However, Frank is not a Baleba in Carlos Baleba, at least not for the reported asking price of over £100million, while he also feared Gianluigi Donnarumma - who United sources have now categorically ruled out a transfer for - would be another Andre Onana, who he describes as "not being good enough". 14 14 14 The main issue for Frank is getting players out, with United yet to make a single permanent sale, with players only departing on loan or by free agency. But Frank believes the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount can be shining lights in the upcoming season, urging Ruben Amorim to give Mainoo a run in the team while also predicting Mount to be the most improved player in the squad from last season, if he stays fit. In terms of the season, Frank believes this United team won't be title challengers, but should be pushing for European football again. He said: "I'm optimistic, but my realistic prediction would be sixth. I think if we come any lower than that, it's another failure. "And I think if we can do any better than that it would be unbelievable compared to last season. "Obviously these things take time, but yeah, I think realistically Europa League places are probably what we should be aiming for as a stepping stone..." On Amorim, Frank added: "If we came seventh, there's an argument there (to keep him). But if we finish 15th again then it's not happening and it's not gonna work in the Premier League. "I really like Amorim, but I do think my one criticism of him - the same of Ange [Postecoglou] when he was at Spurs - is this obsession with one system. "I don't think one size fits all is possible in football. I would like to see different ideas. I completely get it's the main system, but it would be nice to see every now and then, 'oh hang on a minute, we're doing something different for this game'." United start the season against Arsenal, who Frank reckons are beatable on the opening day at Old Trafford despite his expectation for them to be a tough customer. Time Girls of the Year: Young solar-powered backpack designer celebrated
A UK pupil who designed a solar-powered backpack when she was 11 has been recognised by US magazine, Time. Rebecca, now 12, from Glasgow has been named on the first-ever Time magazine Girls of the Year list alongside nine other girls from around the came up with the idea of a solar-powered backpack with an electric blanket after becoming worried about homeless people sleeping on the streets during winter. "I'm honoured by the fact they wanted to include me on their Girls of the Year list", Rebecca said, "and I hope other kids see it and decide to do their part in helping people". Rebecca thought up of the idea at an engineering club, she then came top in the UK Primary Engineer competition, where more than 70,000 pupils entered ideas aimed around addressing a social engineering company then turned the design into reality, with 30 of the blankets given to a homeless shelter in Glasgow, with plans to make more. US news magazine, Time, is best known for its Person of the Year feature which it has run since the 1920s. In 2023, Taylor Swift was named Person of the Year, while in 2024 it was Donald Trump. The Time 100 list, which lists 100 influential people around the world and Women of the Year are also well-known features. This is the first Girls of the Year list and honours "10 extraordinary young leaders" between the ages of 12 and 17. The list also includes15-year-old French singer Zoé Clauzure, who won the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with an anti-bullying song and 15-year-old skateboarder Coco Yoshizawa from Japan, who won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris of the honoured children and young people also appear on a digital cover of the famous magazine, as Lego mini-figures.

BBC edit ANOTHER MasterChef contestant out of scandal-ridden series after axing hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace - and sparking fan fury
Yet another MasterChef contestant has been edited out of the scandal-ridden cooking series - despite the BBC having already sacked hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Sarah Shafi and another contestant who wanted to remain anonymous said they did not want to appear in the series given 'recent events', according to The Sun. Sarah previously said she felt 'pressured' to accept show bosses' offer to cut her from the final edits completely. This means the show's upcoming season, yet to be aired, will be heavily edited the whole way through so as not to include two competitors. It follows a report which upheld damning claims against once-beloved host Gregg Wallace, and use of unacceptable language by John Torode. At the end of last year, Wallace was accused of making sexualised jokes and other inappropriate remarks towards a range of women, with claims dating back as far as 19 years. Since then, more than 50 people have approached the BBC with fresh claims about the presenter - including allegations he groped a MasterChef worker and pulled his trousers down in front of another. Wallace denies the claims, but was sacked by BBC bosses in November last year. The upheld complaint against Torode related to his allegedly using an extremely offensive racist term on the set of MasterChef in 2018. The beloved cooking competition has since been mired in scandal, with many watchers and even former contestants calling for the series to be axed. Sarah Shafi, of Leeds, said she felt airing MasterChef would send the wrong message about what happens when women report misconduct by men in positions of power. The 57-year-old told The Guardian: 'I said: "Axe the show, don't air the show. I'm asking you not to air the show." 'Prominent figures have been abusing their power. What message does that send out to women?' Sarah revealed she was left 'flabbergasted' after being edited out of the hit cooking competition following a heated conversation where she felt pressured to agree to the cut. 'Women are being silenced,' she said. Sarah claimed she was 'eyed up and ogled' by Gregg Wallace on the show, while accusing the TV host of making an 'off' comment about his reputation with women. Unable to remember the exchange verbatim, she told Newsnight: 'I just stood there, I didn't know how to respond to that. And that I just thought, "Where's that come from? Why was he saying that to me?" 'And then later he came a bit closer and made a comment that I was really amazing and I thought, "It's weird, but I'll take it." But I thought, "I just don't like it." I felt it was off.' MasterChef viewers have been left divided as the controversial 21st series arrived on BBC iPlayer before its TV premiere after the BBC's decision to air the episodes. The popular show return to television screens earlier this month after a last-minute scramble to re-edit it and limit the appearances of Wallace and Torode. Both presenters had been axed from hosting future iterations of the long-running cookery contest. Ahead of its debut on linear television, the first three episodes of MasterChef have been made available to watch immediately on catch up.
