WWE Hall of Famer slams TKO over Roman Reigns, Jey Uso treatment

Image via WWE W WE legend Rikishi has launched a scathing attack on the company's creative direction, accusing them of disrespecting his family's legacy - especially Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. The outspoken Hall of Famer voiced his frustrations on his Off The Top podcast, addressing recent decisions that he believes undermine the contributions of The Bloodline. From rumors of a pay cut for Reigns to Jey Uso's short-lived title reign, Rikishi believes WWE is making a 'big mistake' in how it's treating members of the Anoa'i dynasty - a family widely regarded as the greatest in pro wrestling history. Rikishi defends The Bloodline's legacy Rikishi's outrage was sparked by rumors suggesting WWE and its parent company, TKO, are considering reducing Roman Reigns' salary during his current break from TV. For Rikishi, such talk is deeply disrespectful, considering the impact Reigns has had on WWE's success in recent years. Standing On Business!- Rikishi Fatu - Off The Top - Episode 63 'Do the math - WrestleMania, Raw, SmackDown - who's on those posters? Roman Reigns. Jey Uso. Trinity Fatu. That's the Bloodline,' Rikishi said. 'You want to move on, fine. But don't erase our history. We've given our soul to this business.' He added, 'We've never been the problem, we've always been the source. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? Short title reign fuels frustration The controversy escalated after Jey Uso lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther on the June 9 episode of RAW, just 51 days after winning it at WrestleMania 41. Fans were upset, and so was Rikishi. AND NEW! | Gunther dethrones Jey Uso for World Heavyweight Title: Raw highlights, June 9, 2025 He criticized WWE's writers for failing to support Jey's title run, saying they should be 'fired' for not being able to build around a rising champion. 'Would you have done this to John Cena or Randy Orton?' Rikishi asked. 'You give the title, and then give them nothing to work with? That's not fair.' Rikishi also pointed to past instances, like Jey's short Intercontinental Title reign - to show a pattern of what he calls missed opportunities for his son. He believes Jey's rise was earned through hard work, fan support, and years of dedication. With WWE seemingly moving in a new direction, questions loom over the future of The Bloodline. Fans and family alike are watching closely. Rikishi's fiery comments have ignited public debate, and it remains to be seen whether WWE will course-correct - or keep sidelining one of its most iconic families. WWE Smackdown: John Cena gets called ‘balding b****' as Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk set their eyes on his title

WWE Smackdown: It is all-out 'war' on the 17-time world champion John Cena. The wrestler, who is currently on his farewell tour in the WWE and will be retiring from in-ring performances in December, was challenged by every big name in the roster for his undisputed WWE title. Verbal battles, sneak attacks, and the King of the Ring tournament – this episode of Smackdown had it all. John Cena walked in front of a sold-out Kentucky crowd as half the crowd supported him, while the other half was against him. Cena, who turned 'heel' (negative character) after the last Elimination Chamber, started explaining his plan that has been in motion for over a year. He explained how he joined the Royal Rumble, and even though he didn't win, he used his seniority in the company to get himself a spot in the Chamber. He was listing out the flurry of opponents he had beaten on his way when Rhodes walked out to make a statement of his own. ALSO READ: John Cena on setting up his own gym, training wrestlers who later challenged him in WWE ring: 'I was just sick of… Rhodes warned Cena, 'I am not a part of your plan; you're a part of mine,' and declared that he was coming for Cena's championship. Meanwhile Orton walked in to the ring to address his problems with Cena. Cena beat Orton at Backlash, and Orton pointed out the fact that if he hadn't been interrupted, he would have beaten Cena for the title. Although this already superstar-heavy segment did not need anyone else, LA Knight made an appearance and told all three men (Orton, Cena and Rhodes) that he is willing to go through all of them to become the undisputed WWE champion. He said, 'I will take down a viper (Orton), a nightmare (Rhodes), and a 'genius' balding b**** (John Cena) to become the champion.' At this point Cena had heard enough from his challengers and he decided to walk out and just as he was about to disappear to the backstage, Ron 'Truth' Killings (R-Truth's alter ego) attacked him from the behind. Killings felt betrayed after Cena, his long-time hero, attacked him after Backlash, an event where he helped him secure the win over Orton. Later that night, Punk also warned Cena that he was coming for his title, and Ron Killings again attacked him and put him in Cena's own submission hold STF. As Night of Champions closes, the number of people gunning for the title is increasing, and the number of people who have a problem with Cena is rising even faster. Punk will have to beat Cena at the Night of Champions to win the WWE title, and it will be an uphill task, as the new Cena does not care about rules or what the audience thinks of him and will do whatever it takes to hold on to the title.
