May 6 South Africa (Kenilworth) form analysis
Race 1 (1,000m)
(2) THREE TIGERS was slightly slow out of the machine but still managed to storm home for fourth behind Gimmeathrill on debut. He can improve tremendously from that performance and should go very close to winning.
(3) CHURCHILLIAN has run some very nice races in competitive fields. He should find this race easier and has a good winning chance on form.
(5) GOLD GIBOSKI was terribly green in the running, but stayed on strongly late to finish just over two lengths behind the winner on debut. Must be respected.
(8) THE ROARING ROCK might have a place chance at best.
Race 2 (1,400m)
(8) SIGNOR DANTE was very green early but stayed on strongly to finish just under four lengths behind Green Planet on debut. He should love the step-up to 1,400m. This is not a strong race, and with further improvement to come from him, he should go very close to winning.
(5) DRICUS was a touch disappointing last time. The drop in trip should help his chances, watch him closely.
(9) OCEAN SKY has run two lovely races in succession. If he can get some luck in the running from a wide draw, he should be right there in the finish.
(10) FATHER CHRISTMAS ran a much better race last time. He could sneak into the places from a wide draw.
Race 3 (1,400m)
(1) WILD APPLAUSE rattled home late to finish just ½ length behind the winner Angel's Oasis last time. Jockey Muzi Yeni sticks with her from a good draw. If she can build on that, she will go very close to winning.
(3) LOUI'S STAR had no luck in running from a wide draw last time. She gets a good draw, and Andrew Fortune has been booked to ride. Watch for major improvement.
(2) SWEET CONIFER has some fair form. From a good draw, she must be respected.
(10) SUPREME FATE has been rested for 111 days. If she does not need the run badly, she could trouble them all in the finish.
Race 4 (1,600m)
(1) WATER DRAGON stayed on well to run fifth behind Chasingtherainbow last time. From a good draw, he should get the dream run in transit.
(2) UNICORN ALERT was very disappointing in his last start, but he is racing off a dangerous rating and can easily win a race like this on his best form.
(8) TWO A PENNY has been rested for 146 days. If she does not need the run badly, she will be competitive.
(6) LANDOFTHERISINGSUN won his maiden impressively last time. The yard thinks highly of him and while the big weight is a burden, he has ability. Watch him.
Race 5 (1,600m)
(1) PINOT GRIGIO finished powerfully for third in his last start. He drops back in trip to 1,600m and he gets barrier 1. Ashton Arries knows him well and he can go very close to winning.
(9) MAJOR MASTER needed his last run badly over 1,200m last time. He should be storming home late from a wide draw.
(3) DIAMOND ROCK ran a fair race last time. He should love the drop back in trip to 1,600m. From a good draw, he must be included in all bets.
(2) FUTURE TURN is consistent and should be in the money again.
Race 6 (1,600m)
(4) COSMIC RHYTHM was drawn poorly but made good ground in the straight to finish just over two lengths in fifth. If he can build on that last run, he will have a massive winning chance.
(8) WEHAVEASITUATION won well last time. She likes to race just off the speed early and come with a strong finish late.
(1) BEER WITH THE BOYS never runs a bad race. He is in excellent form and his last run was superb. He will be right there again.
(2) MIDWAY ran a much better race in his last start. He is now racing off a competitive rating of 61. From a good draw, he must be respected.0
Race 7 (1,400m)
(10) BEACH QUEEN was drawn poorly in a big field but caught the eye late to finish second behind Lady Look Alike last time. She will be very hard to beat.
(1) DREAM SEARCHER has been rested for 69 days. Craig Bantam knows her well, and she really enjoys this trip of 1,400m. She has a good place chance from a good draw.
(7) SAINT BRIGID stayed on strongly for fourth last time. She will be ridden for some cover early before doing her best work late. Include her in the play.
(3) HANG OUT THE STARS ran a much better race last time, when she was beaten just over four lengths by the winner. If she can back that performance up, she could sneak into the places.
Race 8 (1,400m)
(5) LET IT BE SAID ran a superb second in the Grade 3 Variety Club Mile last time. He was a bit strong early in the race, but finished off nicely to be second behind the very talented Garrix. He should love the drop in trip to 1,400m. Richard Fourie knows him well, he will be hard to beat on his best form.
(1) GALLIC DREAM loves this trip of 1,400m. From a good draw, he should be very competitive again.
(4) SUGAR MOUNTAIN never got into the race over 1,200m last time. Ignore that run as he should improve now that he steps up in trip.
(3) SILVER FALCON came from a long way back in the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes last time. He stayed on well to finish fourth behind some talented sprinters. If he can build on that, he could have a place chance from a good draw.
