Denzel Washington says he doesn't care about Oscars. Here's why
Actor Denzel Washington recently stated he is not interested in Oscars any more. He revealed that his career choices are not focused on winning in his recent interview with the Youtube channel, Jake's Takes, reflected on the connection between the Academy Awardsand his craft. He said, "I don't do it for Oscars. I don't care about that kind of stuff."advertisementHe further said, "I've been at this a long time, and there's time when I won and shouldn't have won and then didn't win and should've won. Man gives the award. God gives the reward." "I'm not that interested in Oscars. People ask me, 'Where do I keep it?' Well, next to the other one. I'm not bragging! DC's "Superman" Secret A-List Cameo Revealed Ahead of Release
Yara Sameh Superman reboot spoilers ahead. James Gunn's "Superman", starring David Corenswet, is less than two weeks away from launching, but one of its big cameos has been revealed. The director made announced in an interview with YouTube channel Jake's Takes . Gunn disclosed that Superman's father, Jor-El, will be played by none other than Bradley Cooper, who starred as Rocket Raccoon in Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the conversation, Gunn shared that he called upon Cooper, who he deemed a "close friend", to do him a solid to which the actor agreed to a small voice part in the upcoming superhero film. "I just said, 'Hey, will you do me a favour? Come down, go to England, we're going to shoot you in a 3D environment, make a hologram of you, and you can play Jor-El.'" recalled the director. "He was like, 'Okay.'" At the moment, Cooper is just making a little cameo appearance, but Jor-El could potentially turn up in future films with a meatier role as Gunn teased: "You never know. It's possible." A few other actors who have previously worked with the filmmaker are also providing small voice-acting roles in the film, with Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff and Alan Tudyk all set to play robots in the Fortress of Solitude. While Cooper will have a small role, Nicholas Hoult will have a chunkier part as he portrays Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, with the actor recently teasing that fans may even find themselves agreeing with the supervillain. "Even though you perhaps don't agree with his process, there's an element where you can understand on some levels where he's coming from and why what he's pushing as his ideology is perhaps better for humanity," said the actor.
