State Bank of India to divest 13.19% stake held in Yes Bank
State Bank of India announced that the Executive Committee of the Central Board (ECCB) of the Bank in the meeting held on 9 May 2025 has accorded approval to divest 413,44,04,897 equity shares of Yes Bank (YBL), being equivalent to 13.19% (approx.) of Yes Bank shares to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), at Rs.21.50 per equity share, for a consideration of Rs.8888,97,05,285 and paisa 50 only (Rs.8888.97 crores approx.), subject to receipt of all regulatory and statutory approvals by the acquirer. Legendary Italian Artist Michelangelo Pistoletto Joins the Lineup for Forever Is Now .05 at the Pyramids of Giza
Basant Ahmed In a monumental moment for the global art scene, Forever Is Now returns for its fifth edition with a name that needs no introduction: Michelangelo Pistoletto. The Embassy of Italy in Egypt, in partnership with Art D'Égypte by CulturVator and the Italian Institute of Culture in Egypt, are proud to announce that Michelangelo Pistoletto - one of the most revolutionary artists of the 20th and 21st centuries - will be this year among the featured artists in the fifth edition of Forever Is Now, the first international contemporary art exhibition held at the Pyramids of Giza that will take place from 30th October to 22nd November. The visionary founder of Arte Povera and one of the most influential contemporary artists of our time, Pistoletto will present a monumental installation at the Great Pyramids of Giza, uniting the echoes of ancient civilisation with the pulse of modern thought. His participation in Forever Is Now .05 marks a fusion of artistic legacy and ancient history that promises to captivate the world. As a concrete manifestation of his view of art as a bridge between cultures and a generator of spaces of togetherness, Pistoletto and his Foundation develops this prestigious invitation into an opportunity for an artist residing in Egypte to enroll into their Unidee Academy, in Biella (Italy, near Milan), for a 3 years bachelor course. The awarded applicant will have fees and accommodation expenses fully covered by Italian Institute of Culture in Cairo for the first year, and for the following two by Pistoletto Foundation Cittadellarte itself. Mainz extend contract of understudy keeper Robin Zentner is playing a big part in Mainz's Champions League push this season. Meanwhile, reserve goalkeeper Daniel Batz extends his contract at the club until 2026. The 34-year-old is yet to feature this term. 'He gives 100 percent in every training session. We are happy that he will be joining us for another year.' Mainz 05 is a family-oriented club with very close ties to its city; everyone gives a lot to one another.' Batz deputized for the absence of Zentner in four Bundesliga matches last term. Cement prices fall in Pakistan
Listen to article Cement prices in Pakistan have dropped to Rs1,390 per bag for top brands, including Bestway Cement, Maple Leaf Cement, and DG Khan Cement, bringing some relief to those planning construction projects. Other brands are offering cement at Rs1,400 per bag. The decrease reflects changing market demand and improved import conditions within the construction sector. Steel availability is also contributing to the fluctuations. While the price of cement currently ranges from Rs13,850 to Rs14,05 PKR per 10 kg bag, individuals can avail a 30% discount by registering through the Ehsaas Program's 8171 portal. On the other hand, Pakistan's cement exports saw significant growth during the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25. Exports increased by 23.21% to $167.47 million, compared to $135.93 million during the same period last year, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). In terms of volume, cement exports rose by 33.82% year-on-year, reaching 4.69 million metric tons during July-December 2024-25, up from 3.50 million metric tons in the same period the previous year. December 2024 showed particularly strong performance, with cement exports rising 45.47% year-on-year to $31.89 million. On a month-on-month basis, exports in December also grew by 3.04%, reaching $31.90 million compared to November's $30.96 million.
