Ankit Siwach says Bollywood insiders get 'insecure' when television actors enter the industry: 'You can see their behaviour change drastically'
Actor Ankit Siwach , known for his unique performances in various television series, was recently seen in the web series 'Kull' alongside Nimrat Kaur , Amol Parashar , and Ridhi Dogra. He has now addressed the longstanding discussion about the challenges television actors face when entering Bollywood. Ankit about Bollywood vs Television In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actor shed light on the underlying prejudice he has experienced after stepping into the film and OTT space. According to him, television artists are often not granted the same respect as their counterparts in the film industry. 'I want the perception to shift, as it's very hurtful and disheartening. I've personally felt it. Suppose there's a group of actors, filmmakers, or others sitting together at a party — they're all happy and comfortable, knowing that someone like me is working in television. That gives them a sense of superiority if they're doing films,' he revealed. Bollywood insiders feeling 'insecure' He further described the subtle changes in behaviour once a TV actor ventures into new platforms like web series or films. Happy Birthday, Farhan Akhtar! From luxurious properties to expensive cars, actor's net worth will surely blow your mind 'But once you start transitioning to web and films, you can see their behaviour change drastically. They become insecure,' he added. Ankit also noted that this behaviour makes it clear that they were comfortable with him only when he was working in television, as they considered it inferior to films. He admits that even if no one ever directly says anything to him or other TV actors who move into films, their silence is telling. 'Everyone can sense it. When they see that a TV actor is now among them, they suddenly start seeing you as a threat,' he stated. Ankit remains proud of his television roots and the dedication it demands. He also shared that television deserves equal respect to web content, cinema, and other platforms due to the effort, passion, and talent it entails. Upcoming movie Ankit is currently gearing up for the release of '120 Bahadur' with Farhan Akhtar . The film is expected to hit cinemas in November this year.

Don 3: Ranveer Singh, Vikrant Massey To Begin Shoot For Farhan Akhtar's Film In Sept
Last Updated: Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have cast Ranveer Singh as the lead in Don 3, taking over from Shah Rukh Khan. News18 Showsha was the first one to report that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have roped in Ranveer Singh to play the titular character in Don 3. The baton was passed on to the Ram-Leela and Padmaavat actor from superstar Shah Rukh Khan and while many felt that the former won't be able to do justice to the part, others were excited to see Ranveer in this brand new role. Having said that, an announcement video featuring Ranveer was unveiled in 2023, which created a lot of ripples. The film, which was supposed to go on floors last year, went on to face multiple delays due to a variety of reasons. One of them being Farhan kick-starting the shoot of 120 Bahadur. Keeping up with his commitment to the makers of the film, he wanted to wrap it up before taking Don 3 to the floors. But seems like the time for the shoot of the much-awaited film is almost here! A well-placed source exclusively tells us, 'Farhan is nearing the end of 120 Bahadur. Ranveer has also finished shooting for a major portion of Dhurandar. And so, they wouldn't want to wait any longer before beginning filming for Don 3. The first schedule is scheduled for September this year. Both Ranveer and Vikrant Massey, who plays the antagonist, will be a part of it." However, it's still unclear if the female lead will be a part of this schedule. But this also means that Vikrant will start shooting for Dostana 2 next year. Earlier, a source had told us that his schedule for Karan Johar's film is dependent on Don 3 and that if the latter doesn't start this year, then Vikrant would shoot for Dostana 2 in September. As for the female lead of Don 3, there's still some certainty, but it's Sharvari and Kriti Sanon who are in contention. A while back, Farhan had stated that Don 3 is sure to go on floors this year. Interestingly, this film will also mark Ranveer and Vikrant's reunion after Dil Dhadakne Do. The duo had shared screen space in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera in 2013 too. However, this is the first time that they'll be seen locking horns onscreen. 'Be assured that there will be a lot of stylised action sequences, including bike chases, between the duo. Vikrant, who has pretty much been the darling of heartland cinema, will be seen in a brand new avatar in Don 3, leaving fans surprised," our source adds. First Published:
