General Insurance Authority begins disbursement of second half of February 2021 Pensions for Civilian Retirees on Thursday
Sana'a – Saba: The General Authority for Insurance and Pensions will begin disbursing the second half of February 2021 pensions for civilian retirees on Thursday. Ibrahim Al-Haifi, Chairman of the Authority, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the disbursement is carried out under the temporary exceptional mechanism to support state employees in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1446 AH, which ensures the regular payment of pensions through 12 disbursement operations annually. He noted that this step comes as a result of intensive efforts and continuous coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service & Administrative Development to ensure the regular continuity of pension payments as part of the Change and Building Government Program, which places special emphasis on retirees in appreciation of their contributions and long service to Yemen. Al-Haifi called on retirees and beneficiaries' agents to visit post offices with their necessary documents to facilitate receiving their pensions. He also praised the significant cooperation of the relevant authorities, particularly the leadership of the Central Bank of Yemen, as well as the staff of the Authority, the Ministries of Civil Service and Finance, and the Central Bank, all of whom contributed to the success of the disbursement process. Tenders Committee in Sa'ada approves announcement of bids for several service & development projects
Sa'ada – SABA: The Tenders Committee in Sa'ada Governorate, chaired by Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad, discussed bids for several service and development projects in the governorate during its meeting today. In the presence of the Deputy Governor for Works Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Namari, the committee reviewed a project for the purchase and supply of computers and equipment to install an automated system at the Maternity and Childhood Hospital. The meeting examined the project's cost coverage from its allocated budget and the report of the Bid Analysis and Evaluation Committee for the limited tender submissions. The committee also reviewed a request to announce a tender for the rehabilitation project of the College of Agriculture in the governorate, approved under the 1446 AH plan. Additionally, the meeting addressed: - A memorandum from the Health and Environment Office and Talh Hospital regarding the need to purchase a multi-purpose small service and transport vehicle, along with the evaluation report for bids submitted. - A request to procure and supply an immunity testing device. - A memorandum from the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Public Space Maintenance concerning the approval of a project to pave internal streets in Sa'ada city. - A request to complete the second phase of the Cultural Center hall. The committee also discussed: - A memorandum from the Works Sector and Technical Unit on completing the paving and expansion of the road in Azlat Jadaa' (Wuld Amer) in Ghamr District. - Completing the construction and paving of the road in Azlat Hanbah in Qatabir District, both approved under the governorate's 1446 AH plan based on submitted quantity schedules and estimated costs. Governor Awad emphasized the local authority's commitment to finalizing tenders for service and development projects to improve services and alleviate citizens' hardships. He stressed the importance of concerted efforts to implement projects that serve local development, prioritizing those approved under this year's governorate plan. Inspection of secondary school exams in Amran
Amran - Saba: Today, the Governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Ja'man, inspected the progress of the 1446 AH (1446 AH) high school exams, both science and literature sections, at several testing centers in the city of Amran and Jabal Yazid District, including the Martyrs of Education Complex, Al-Hussein Educational Complex, Aisha Educational Complex, May 22 Complex, and Al-Khansa School. The tour was attended by the First Deputy Governor of Amran, Abdulaziz Abu Kharfsha, the Deputy Governor of the Training and Qualification Sector at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Muhammad Ghallab, and the Deputy Governor, Hassan Al-Ashqas. They praised the efforts of the education sector in maintaining the continuity of the educational process despite the current challenges. They emphasized that the continuation of the educational process and the organization of exams under difficult circumstances represents a message of steadfastness in the face of aggression and its attempts to disrupt the education sector. They called for concerted efforts to ensure the success of the exams and provide a suitable environment for students. For his part, the head of the governorate's examination subcommittee, Zaid Rattas, explained that the number of students applying for the secondary school certificate exams reached 11,500, distributed across 84 centers. He added that the exams are proceeding according to the general plan using the electronic marking system and in accordance with instructions issued by the Ministry of Education.
