PAGASA: Up to 3 tropical cyclones expected in PAR in August
Two to three tropical cyclones are expected in the Philippine area of responsibility this month, according to state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.
In an update, PAGASA said 17 tropical cyclones may enter or develop in PAR from August this year to January next year. The following are the expected number of tropical cyclones per month:
August - two to three
September - two to four
October - two to four
November - two to three
December - one to two
January - zero to one
'Makikita sa infographic na nasa ibaba ang climatological tracks ng mga bagyong dumaan at pumasok ng PAR mula taong 1948 hanggang 2015 at ang bilang ng mga bagyo na maaring mabuo kada buwan,' PAGASA said.
