Our Wisconsin Student of the Week, Chantel Ringo-Elim, has 'a passion for helping others'
Our 19th Wisconsin Student of the Week poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted.
This week, we had two students who the nominators described as being great examples — both to other students and in representing their respective school's values. Read who won our weekly poll here, and learn how you can nominate a student from your high school for our statewide poll.
Chantel Ringo-Elim of Messmer High School was our winner this week. Messmer counselor Melissa Hoeppner described Ringo-Elim's "passion for helping others" in her nomination.
When she's not studying, Ringo-Elim volunteers with the Greater Milwaukee Urban League program and at St. Ben's Community Meals, Hoeppner said. Ringo-Elim also has a paid internship at the Versiti Blood Bank and plans to attend Concordia University to study nursing this fall.
"Chantel, we are so proud of you," Hoeppner concluded. "Continue shining!"
