Scouts in Yorkshire Three Peaks fundraiser for Danish Jamboree
Eight Explorer Scouts are preparing to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The group from 1st Holgate Explorer Scouts in York will take on the 24-mile round trip on September 13 to raise funds for the 2026 Jamboree in Denmark.
The route covers Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with more than 5,200 feet of climbing, and the group will complete the challenge without supervision or support.
They are expecting the challenge to take at least 12 hours.
Zoe Bind, one of the Explorers, said: "I've really, really enjoyed being part of scouting over the years and have gotten so much out of it.
"Going to the Denmark Jamboree in 2026 would be an amazing opportunity to travel and meet like-minded people from around the world.
"Using the Three Peaks walk to help fundraise feels like a fitting way to support the trip, completely in the spirit of Explorers."
