A rumor about Taylor Swift's album Reputation (Taylor's Version) has gone viral online, but it appears to be a doctored image.
Newsweek reached out to Swift's representative via email for comment on Monday.
The Context
The American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to take place Monday night in Las Vegas, with Jennifer Lopez hosting the star-studded event. Kendrick Lamar leads the 2025 way with 10 nominations, while Swift is up for six awards: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Collaboration of the Year (with Post Malone), Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist and Favorite Pop Album.
For weeks, Swifties—the nickname given to Swift's fans—have flooded social media with theories that she will make a big announcement at the awards show after they noticed the billionaire's online shop spelled out "AMAs" with the first letters of each word: Apparel, Music, Accessories and Sale.
Additionally, 12 items were listed for sale for 26 percent off, and according to fans, those numbers are significant. The 35-year-old dropped her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, in April 2024, meaning her next release would be her 12th. Also, the AMAs are on May 26.

Following a dispute with her former record label, Big Machine Records, the Pennsylvania native has been rerecording her original albums with "Taylor's Version" added to the titles. So far, Swift has rerecorded Fearless (Taylor's Version), Red (Taylor's Version), Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version), though fans are still waiting for Reputation (Taylor's Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version).
Last week, "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" was featured in a new episode of The Handmaid's Tale, further fueling rumors, though the song had previously been included in a teaser for the television series Wilderness in 2023.
What To Know
On Saturday, parody account @gavbreakfavtoys took to X, formerly Twitter, to share that Swift made a subtle tweak to her online store amid announcement speculation.
"Taylor Swift has updated her website," the post read, alongside a screenshot from her website.
According to the photo, the "Fortnight" singer added "Reputation (Taylor's Version) Shop" to the dropdown menu where you can "Shop By Album." However, Newsweek confirmed that currently on her website, it reads "Reputation Shop" next to her other album shops. There is no "Reputation (Taylor's Version) Shop."
The screenshot appears to be one that has been making the rounds online for quite some time. In February 2024, Swift news account @TSUpdating posted the image and wrote via X, "REPUTATION TV ALBUM SHOP IS APPEARING ON TAYLORS WEBSITE."
At the time of publication, @gavbreakfavtoys' post racked up more than 1.4 million views and @TSUpdating's note had 297,800 views.
