A rumor about Taylor Swift's album Reputation (Taylor's Version) has gone viral online, but it appears to be a doctored image.
Newsweek reached out to Swift's representative via email for comment on Monday.
The Context
The American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to take place Monday night in Las Vegas, with Jennifer Lopez hosting the star-studded event. Kendrick Lamar leads the 2025 way with 10 nominations, while Swift is up for six awards: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Collaboration of the Year (with Post Malone), Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist and Favorite Pop Album.
For weeks, Swifties—the nickname given to Swift's fans—have flooded social media with theories that she will make a big announcement at the awards show after they noticed the billionaire's online shop spelled out "AMAs" with the first letters of each word: Apparel, Music, Accessories and Sale.
Additionally, 12 items were listed for sale for 26 percent off, and according to fans, those numbers are significant. The 35-year-old dropped her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, in April 2024, meaning her next release would be her 12th. Also, the AMAs are on May 26.

Following a dispute with her former record label, Big Machine Records, the Pennsylvania native has been rerecording her original albums with "Taylor's Version" added to the titles. So far, Swift has rerecorded Fearless (Taylor's Version), Red (Taylor's Version), Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version), though fans are still waiting for Reputation (Taylor's Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version).
Last week, "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" was featured in a new episode of The Handmaid's Tale, further fueling rumors, though the song had previously been included in a teaser for the television series Wilderness in 2023.
What To Know
On Saturday, parody account @gavbreakfavtoys took to X, formerly Twitter, to share that Swift made a subtle tweak to her online store amid announcement speculation.
"Taylor Swift has updated her website," the post read, alongside a screenshot from her website.
According to the photo, the "Fortnight" singer added "Reputation (Taylor's Version) Shop" to the dropdown menu where you can "Shop By Album." However, Newsweek confirmed that currently on her website, it reads "Reputation Shop" next to her other album shops. There is no "Reputation (Taylor's Version) Shop."
The screenshot appears to be one that has been making the rounds online for quite some time. In February 2024, Swift news account @TSUpdating posted the image and wrote via X, "REPUTATION TV ALBUM SHOP IS APPEARING ON TAYLORS WEBSITE."
At the time of publication, @gavbreakfavtoys' post racked up more than 1.4 million views and @TSUpdating's note had 297,800 views.
What People Are Saying
In the comments underneath @gavbreakfavtoys' message, Swifties called out the poster after learning the image was fake.
X user @madrichardss: "It does not say reputation tv it just says reputation."
@PumpedUpBravo: "Boooo I fell for this too fast lol."
@itsbrittxoxo, in a reply with a screenshot of Swift's store: "Idk what shop you looking at."
@cvcarza: "Stop lying."
@amandaeobrien: "I moved for a second you're so mean."
@noob_noob_10: "It's not real."
@zehrpilo: "Why would u do this to me?"
What Happens Next
It's unclear if Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, will make an appearance at the 2025 American Music Awards. The couple was recently spotted dining in Florida, though it's possible they could fly to Las Vegas for the event.

12-Year-Old Dog Left at Shelter by Family 'Wondering Where He Went Wrong'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A senior dog taken back to the shelter by his family was left confused about what had happened to his previous life, shattering the internet's heart. The 12-year-old Labrador mix, Hugo, was brought to the London Animal Care Centre on April 16 by his previous family. His entire world turned upside down. The animal shelter, known on Instagram as @londonanimalcare, shared in Tuesday's video how Hugo now spends most of his days—sleeping on his tiny cot with his head down and his eyes filled with confusion. After 12 years of living with his family, he was left alone in a kennel, "wondering where he went wrong." He went from going on adventures and having warm snuggles with his family to adjusting to a loud and chaotic shelter environment. The recent video explained that Hugo, luckily, settled into his new life at the shelter "in no time." The senior dog thrives on routine and loves to patrol the yard, keeping it safe from squirrels, but he can also be found napping in his bed. Despite his age and prominent gray hairs on his snoot, the shelter called him a "young-at-heart kind of guy" on the website. He still shows off his energy, as he loves running around. He enjoys making noise with his barks and will sometimes pull on the leash if he spots something, but with extra training, the shelter believes he'll be a walking expert in no time. Newsweek reached out to @londonanimalcare via Instagram for additional comment. Instagram users flooded the comment section with their disappointment over the family abandoning him. The clip amassed over 12,100 views and 547 likes as of Thursday. "This is just heartbreaking. People pray for more time with their fur babies, they don't drop them off at the shelter when it's time that they need us.. the owners should be ashamed. I hope he finds his family soon," wrote one viewer. Another asked: "How could someone abandon this sweet soul in his golden years?!?" A third person said: "Just look at that sweet little face!!" 'How To Train Your Dragon' Director Defends Live-Action Remake Changes

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors The "How To Train Your Dragon" live-action remake is officially hitting theaters on June 13, 2025, and it is already looking like it will be a critical and financial success, especially after the success of fellow live-action remake "Lilo & Stitch." But with any adaptation of an existing work, there are bound to be changes, and "How To Train Your Dragon" is no different. More Entertainment: Rick Moranis Ends Acting Hiatus for 'Spaceballs 2' While these changes have the opportunity to upset fans of the first movie, director Dean DeBlois saw this as an opportunity to find more depth from the original film, which he also directed. More Maya Dehlin Spach/WireImage/Getty Images In an interview with Brian Davids of The Hollywood Reporter, DeBlois revealed that there was about 27 minutes of additional footage added in the live-action remake that allowed them to explore relationships more. 'How to Train Your Dragon' Filmmaker Dean DeBlois Details the Live-Action Remake's Half Hour of New Material — The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) June 12, 2025 "Well, a lot of individual scenes just grew because we allowed for the relationships to run a little deeper," DeBlois said. "An example might be the scene in which Hiccup is supposed to kill a Monstrous Nightmare in front of the whole village, so there's time spent with Astrid and Hiccup in the tunnel. "There's a little more time spent with Stoic and Hiccup, and there's the intense scene that unfolds in the arena as Toothless bursts in and tries to protect Hiccup. So the action is dialed up, but so is the interplay between characters." Dean DeBlois tells us that fans can still enjoy the original 'HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON' after the remake. 'We're not trying to replace the animated movies. I'm still very proud of those... if you choose to prefer the animated movie over the live-action that's totally cool.' — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) June 8, 2025 "Another scene is when we follow Stoic and his ships into the fog for the first time where they get jumped by dragons. It's only suggested in the animated movie, but we get to venture in there and remind the audience that there is cause to be intimidated and fearful of dragons just as Hiccup is befriending one in the secret cove." While it seems there was plenty added, there were still some scenes that were cut from the original film, including Hiccup being attacked by the Terrible Terrors and Astrid not catching Hiccup and Toothless "red handed" in the blacksmith stall. More Entertainment: 'A Minecraft Movie' Hits HBO Max for Free Streaming in June: What to Know In the end, DeBlois is just happy he got to revisit a world that he spent so much time creating and developing, something most animation directors don't get to do. "The big difference is that Universal approached me as the original filmmaker, which is something that I don't think any of the Disney remakes have done," DeBlois said. "So that was flattering and an honor, but just the fact that they were considering a live-action retelling meant that it was likely going to happen. "And to be frank, I selfishly didn't want to see somebody else's version of it. So I put my hand up and said, 'Listen, I know where the heart is, and I know these characters and this world intimately. If you're going to do it, I would love to be at the helm of it.'" This is often the complaint for most live-action remakes, including the recent box office smash "Lilo & Stitch," which is a remake of another animated film DeBlois directed. In the end, it appears that DeBlois has kept the spirit of the original film alive while making enough changes to justify the new remake. ‘Smash' star Megan Hilty to take leave of absence from Broadway's ‘Death Becomes Her'

Megan Hilty is taking a break from 'Death Becomes Her.' The Broadway star, 44, who is also known for her stint on the TV show 'Smash,' announced her leave of absence from the stage production on Instagram Wednesday. Hilty stars as Madeline Ashton in the play adaptation of 1992 movie by the same name featuring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn, which has been running at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre since November 2024. 8 Megan Hilty stars as Madeline Ashton in the play adaptation of 1992 movie by the same name featuring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. / 'I love my job,' Hilty started her lengthy post, adding that playing Madeline has been 'the most challenging and rewarding role I have ever taken on.' She emphasized the physical aspect of her role, noting she needs to take the next several weeks off to recover from a vocal injury. 'The lengths to which I have gone to make sure I can physically do the show is a job in itself – the regimen is too long for this post – but I do it joyfully because, as I mentioned before, I LOVE what I do,' the star explained. Calling the news 'painful,' Hilty shared that she's 'stepping away from my beloved DBH family for 3-4 weeks while I recover from a vocal injury that only time can heal.' The actress also shared that it's 'hard for me to admit I am human,' noting that 'performers are often asked to push through and pretend that we're not.' 8 The actress included this photo from the 2025 Tony Awards in her announcement. 'I am so fortunate to work with the best producers, company, & stage managers, who don't subscribe to that way of thinking and fully support me and my fellow cast mates when our bodies tell us it's time for a break,' she continued. Hilty asked for patience and understanding during this transition period while encouraging others to research how vocal cords work. 8 Megan Hilty is taking a few weeks off to recover from a vocal injury. Matthew Murphy and Evan Zimmerman 'We are athletes. And just like a professional basketball player, we are going to get injured from time to time – not because we aren't good at our jobs, it simply comes with the territory because of the extraordinary demands we put on our bodies,' she added. Hilty concluded, 'Thank you for your patience and support while I take this time to take care of myself to ensure my longevity with the show and my career, in general. 'In the meantime, Madeline's fabulous shoes will be filled brilliantly and I'll be counting the seconds until I can meet you back at the Lunt-Fontanne. 💋' 8 She praised her 'Death Becomes Her Family' while vocalizing their support. Matthew Murphy and Evan Zimmerman 8 She recently performed a number from 'Death Becomes Her' at the 78th Tony Awards on Sunday. Matthew Murphy and Evan Zimmerman The performer was recently diagnosed with tendinitis in her throat, telling the New York Times in May that it was due to 'the physical stuff I do with my neck in the show. It pulls on my voice box and I ultimately have to call out of the show if it's affecting my voice and it's too painful.' Hilty recently performed a number from 'Death Becomes Her' at the 78th Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8, where she was also nominated. 'Death Becomes Her' features Hilty as Madeline alongside fellow Tony nominee Jennifer Simard as Helen Sharp. Their co-stars include Michelle Williams, Christopher Sieber, Taurean Everett and Josh Lamon. 8 The actress was recently diagnosed with tendinitis in her time away from the stage comes just two days after 'Smash' on Broadway abruptly announced their final show after suffering a Tony Awards shutout. While she did not star in the Broadway production, Hilty played Ivy Lynn in the short-lived musical series, which only ran two seasons on NBC from 2012-2013. The last show of the Broadway production of 'Smash' will be June 22 after 32 previews and just 84 regular performances. The abrupt ending was revealed after The Post reported that the Tony Awards producers refused to let 'Smash' and 'Boop! The Betty Boop Musical' perform during the three-hour broadcast.
