City celebrates newly renovated fire station in East El Paso, launches ‘Fill the Boot' campaign
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly renovated Fire Station No. 25 on Friday, May 16, in East El Paso. The ribbon-cutting ceremony happened on May 16 at Fire Station No. 25, located at 10834 Ivanhoe Dr. According to the news release by the City, the $2.78 million renovation project was funded by the voter-approved 2019 Public Safety Bond. The bond provides 'essential resources to the El Paso Fire and Police Departments, enabling the renovation and construction of new emergency response facilities throughout our community,' according to the City. The renovation project includes the following improvements: Interior and exterior upgrades to the facility New flooring, a lighting control panel, and an upgraded fire alarm system Modernized kitchen, restrooms, showers, doors, and door frames Upgraded HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems New additions to the existing facility, including an ambulance bay and adormitory sleeping area 'Renovations to Fire Station No. 25 are a testament to the City of El Paso's commitment to maintaining its status as one of the nation's safest cities and improving public safety and operational efficiency,' read the news release. In addition to the newly renovated fire station, the ribbon-cutting ceremony also marked the beginning of the 'Fill the Boot' campaign. According to the City, the campaign is a tradition where El Paso firefighters raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. City to host ribbon-cutting for Fire Station No. 16 renovations in Northeast El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The City of El Paso will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Fire Station No. 16 renovations this week in Northeast El Paso. The event will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, at the fire station located at 3828 Hercules Ave., the City said. The City said this fire station, supporting fire protection and emergency response, received the following improvements: Renovations to the interior and exterior of the facility Upgrades to HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems Condition site improvements to the parking lot Installation of ADA compliant parking space, sidewalks and ramps New windows, ceiling, doors, floor tile and a new coat of paint for the facility New decontamination room and personal protective equipment storage This marks the 13th project completed under the voter-approved 2019 Public Safety Bond, which has contributed more than $61 million in community investment to date, the City said. The City said the bond provides critical funding to renovate and build new emergency response facilities, enabling the Fire and Police departments to deliver exceptional service and enhance public safety across El Paso. 'The Fire Station No. 16 Renovation Project, with an approximate budget of $1.89 million, reflects the City of El Paso's continued commitment to strengthening public safety operations and maintaining its reputation as one of the safest cities in the nation,' read the news release by the City.'
