Tralee TY students pick up four awards at major national competition
The Transition Year students, Philip Brosnan and Karl Cronin, were awarded with four prestigious awards for their project and presentation at the recent 2025 Dare to Believe PE Expo held in the National Indoor Arena.
Their project, 'The Benefits of Sport on Neurodivergent People', explored how physical activity can positively impact the lives of individuals with neurodivergent conditions—focusing on physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion.
Out of the 250 projects from schools across Ireland, they won Best Overall Senior Winner, Wellbeing – Physical, Mental and Social, STEM Award and the Dare to Believe Award.
The award win was hailed as a fantastic achievement by the two students who were accompanied to the awards by teacher Julianne O'Keeffe who said that she was very proud of the boys for all their hard work, efforts and dedication.
