A "Coming Up This Season" teaser was released Wednesday after the sci-fi horror show's two-episode premiere Tuesday on FX and FX on Hulu. Alien: Earth is the first TV series in the Alien franchise and takes place in 2120, two years before the events of the 1979 film Alien. The first two episodes introduced viewers to Wendy (Sydney Chandler), a dying human girl whose consciousness is transferred into an adult synthetic body, making her the first "hybrid" created by Prodigy Corporation CEO Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin) and his team. Wendy and her hybrid siblings come face-to-face with alien creatures after the Maginot spaceship crash lands on Earth on the island housing Prodigy Corp., inadvertently freeing its deadly cargo. In the season teaser, Wendy continues to hear mysterious sounds from the creatures. "When a hostile alien species decides to speak -- one needs to ask why," an advisor tells Kavalier. Meanwhile, synthetic being Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) and human scientists Dame Sylvia (Essie Davis) and Arthur (David Rysdahl) study the alien eggs the hybrids retrieved from the ship. Other cast members include Alex Lawther as Joe, Wendy's human brother who thought she was dead, and Babou Ceesay as Morrow, a cyborg and the sole survivor of the Maginot crash. New episodes of Alien: Earth release Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FX and FX on Hulu. The series streams internationally on Disney+. Owens, 66, who was a linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams for nine seasons, was named the second-ever star of The Golden Bachelor in April. He appeared on the In the Trenches with Jon Jansen podcast earlier this month and spoke about producers asking him what kind of women he wanted to see cast on the show. 'I just said, '45 to 60,' just being honest,' Owens detailed. 'The process ended and I was selected, and then we had lunch with the executive producer,' he continued. 'I said, 'If they're 60 or over, I'm cutting them,'' he continued. '[They said], 'Oh no, you can't. This is not The Silver Bachelor , it's The Golden Bachelor . But they're gonna be hot, don't worry about it,'' they reassured him. Your noon-hour look at what's happening in Toronto and beyond. The divorced father of two who, let's reiterate, is 66 years old, added that he wants the women to be in tip-top shape — in more ways than one. Owens revealed he told producers that the bachelorettes 'gotta be fit because I stay in shape, I work out and stuff.' He also advised them to 'try and stay away from the artificial hips and the wigs.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. During the interview, Owens explained the casting process, including an initial hour-long phone conversation and a series of callbacks, before host Jesse Palmer showed up at his home in Orange County, Calif. where he lives with his two sons, to give him the good news. 'He goes, 'Hey Mel, I was just in the neighbourhood and I thought I'd stop in and say hi.' That's when they announced to me that I was the Golden Bachelor.' When asked why he wanted to be the Golden Bachelor, Owens said, 'I like to try new things.' As for his ideal woman, aside from age and hair and both hips intact, Owens revealed he wants 'someone who's a lifetime learner, and enjoys to love life.' However, once fans got word of Owens' requirements, many responded how 'disappointed' they were in ABC for casting him and have removed the show from their watch list. 'Very disappointed and probably won't watch again because of this,' one person wrote. Another called Owens 'Midlife Crisis Bachelor,' while one user asked, 'Have we accepted that this guy is a PR nightmare yet?' The Golden Bachelor 's premiere date has yet to be announced. Jimmy Kimmel slammed for shocking joke comparing Eli, Peyton Manning to Menendez brothers

Jimmy Kimmel has found himself in hot water. During a stand-up routine at Tuesday's 2025 Disney Upfront event, the 57-year-old comedian came under fire for comparing football legends Eli and Peyton Manning to the incarcerated Menendez brothers. Kimmel's poorly received joke came after Eli, 44, and Peyton, 49, performed a song-and-dance number in which they pitched their way into several shows under the Disney banner. 10 Jimmy Kimmel found himself in hot water after comparing Eli and Peyton Manning to the Menendez brothers during a Disney event on Tuesday. Getty Images 'I do wanna thank the Manning brothers for finally answering the question: What if two jars of mayonnaise could sing?' Kimmel quipped, per Entertainment Weekly. 'The answer is: They can't, and they shouldn't.' 'That was worse than what the Menendez brothers did,' he added. But Kimmel's bit did not end there, because the late-night host included another punchline after the audience loudly groaned at his initial joke. 10 Lyle and Erik Menendez remain behind bars for killing their parents in 1989. Lyle Menendez, 57, and his younger brother Erik Menendez, 54, were found guilty in 1996 of brutally killing their parents seven years earlier. On Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge changed their sentences from life in prison without parole to life in prison with the possibility of parole, potentially paving the brothers' way to freedom after more than three decades behind bars. 10 Kimmel's poorly received joke came the same day that a Los Angeles judge changed Erik and Lyle Menendez's sentences to life in prison with the possibility of parole. 'Ladies and gentlemen, here with another song, the Manning brothers,' he said via EW, even though Eli and Peyton did not return to the stage for another performance. Some critics also took to social media to slam the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' host. 10 Kimmel later poked fun at Disney CEO Bob Iger. Getty Images for UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation 'Kimmel is an ass!' one annoyed person tweeted. Others, however, agreed with Kimmel's critique of Eli and Peyton's song-and-dance act. 'Kimmel ain't wrong,' someone wrote on X after the Disney event, 'the Manning Bros need to hang up their dancing shoes.' 10 Peyton Manning and Jimmy Kimmel during an episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' I do it once a year like a prostate exam,' he joked. 'But it's hard to say no when Bob Iger shows up. Bob Iger has passionately led Disney for 20 years and reluctantly for three.' He also teased that Iger, 74, doesn't care about Disney's annual Upfront presentation, its audience, or the company's many advertisers. 10 The Manning brothers calling in to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' 'You think Bob gives a s–t about 'The Rookie' Season 8?' 'Bob doesn't care if this whole room turns into 'Avengers: Endgame' dust, okay?' Kimmel added. 'But he showed up.' 10 The former NFL stars also promoted their upcoming Hulu show, 'Chad Powers,' with Glen Powell during the Disney event in NYC on May 13. Getty Images As for the Mannings, they later returned to the stage to promote their upcoming Hulu comedy 'Chad Powers' with Glen Powell. The show, which stars Powell and was inspired by Eli Manning's popular ESPN+ segment, will follow the 'Twisters' star as a disgraced football star who dons a disguise to play for another team. Eli and Peyton serve as executive producers on the upcoming series.
