CORBIN, Ky. (FOX 56) — A California sex offender was charged on March 16 with staying for an extended period in Kentucky without registering as a sex offender. An arrest citation showed that Rickey Becker, 42, was wanted for fleeing from parole supervision in California and failing to register as a sex offender. While investigating a burglary in Knox County, Corbin police said they learned the possible whereabouts of Becker. At the home, the police spoke with Becker's fiance, who told the police he was heading out the back door. In the citation, the police noted that Becker stuck his head out the back door and ignored the police commands to come out. He then opened a side window, where he told the police that he was getting dressed. LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Police in London are investigating after a man was stabbed on Wednesday morning. The London Police Department (LPD) posted on Facebook that just before 6 a.m., officers were dispatched to Cedar Lane Apartments for reports of a stabbing following an alleged domestic violence situation. When London police arrived, officers found a man at the front of the complex who had been stabbed. NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — East Jessamine High School (EJHS) has been placed on lockdown Wednesday morning, and students are being diverted away from the school. According to an announcement from the high school, the lockdown is said to be precautionary. WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark appears in Kentucky at the 2025 Excellence in Leadership Series Lockdown reported at East Jessamine High School after 'unsubstantiated threat' Lexington woman allegedly pocketed over $56K from 145 forged checks The high school confirmed in the announcement that 'everyone is safe, this is only a precaution.' Nicholasville police confirmed on Facebook that all emergency services responded to the high school in response to an 'unsubstantiated threat that we are actively investigating.' The police confirmed there were no injuries, and they are actively investigating.
