Dynatrace named Leader & Outperformer in 2025 GigaOm report on Kubernetes
Dynatrace has been recognised as both a Leader and an Outperformer in the 2025 GigaOm Radar Report for Kubernetes Observability.
Report findings
GigaOm evaluated 23 Kubernetes observability solutions, assessing factors including scalability, ease of use, compliance and governance, cost, ecosystem, and flexibility. The report placed Dynatrace closest to the centre of its Radar for Kubernetes Observability, signifying its capability to support customers' understanding of complex cloud environments, according to the rankings.
The 2025 GigaOm Radar Report was authored by Dr Shane C. Archiquette, who commented on Dynatrace's performance in the industry review. In his analysis, Archiquette stated, "Dynatrace was classified as an Outperformer, given its fast-paced innovation in AI-driven observability and telemetry unification. The platform's continued fusion of security, observability, and automation positions it as a strategic solution for enterprises looking to consolidate tooling and scale their SRE operations with intelligence at the core."
Kubernetes complexity
The adoption of Kubernetes by enterprises has increased the complexity of cloud environments, introducing distinct challenges compared to conventional technology stacks. According to Dynatrace, its Davis AI engine is structured to use various AI methodologies, such as causal, predictive, and generative techniques, to automatically identify and contextualise root causes within Kubernetes environments. The firm claims these features are instrumental in reducing Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and align with organisational requirements for automation capable of managing multi-environment architectures.
The GigaOm report outlined that Dynatrace's AI capabilities serve as a primary differentiator in the context of intelligent automation and monitoring. This enables organisations to potentially predict and prevent IT incidents before they can impact end users. In operational terms, Dynatrace suggests this aligns observability insights more closely with identified business outcomes.
Leadership comments
Alois Reitbauer, Chief Technology Strategist at Dynatrace, commented on the company's recognition and the evolving requirements for monitoring cloud-native technology in enterprise settings. "GigaOm's recognition reaffirms our commitment to redefining observability for a new era of autonomous intelligence. Being named both a Leader and an Outperformer highlights the momentum behind our platform as enterprises navigate increasingly complex, cloud-native environments. By combining unified observability and security with agentic AI, we are enabling customers to prevent issues, automatically remediate issues, as well as continuously optimise Kubernetes environments."
Sector context
The observability sector is experiencing growth as businesses seek improved ways to monitor, analyse, and manage the behaviour of distributed applications and services, particularly within containerised environments such as Kubernetes. Organisations are under pressure to provide stability and performance without increasing operational overhead. With Kubernetes' growing ubiquity, demand for observability platforms that can integrate AI-driven insights to support proactive management is apparent.
The GigaOm Radar Report for Kubernetes Observability aims to offer enterprises an independent view of the performance and positioning of solution providers. Dynatrace's placement as both a Leader and an Outperformer suggests the platform is recognised in the industry for supporting the operational requirements of customers navigating hybrid and multicloud environments.
