Local Domino's owner nationally recognized
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man who owns several Domino's locations across the Miami Valley recently received national recognition within the company.
Chris Schlater, franchise owner of Domino's, was awarded the 2025 Gold Franny Award, the most prestigious award which a Dominos franchise owner can receive.
The award is based on ratings of the following topics:
Community involvement
Operational audit scores
Store safety and security
Team member morale
The chain said Schlater's locations gives back to the community through engaging with student groups and organizations at the University of Dayton, provides meals to first responders and supports local nonprofit organizations.
Schlater said the company has provided him the chance to grow professionally, while making a positive impact on others around him. He began his career with the company in 1999 as a customer service representative.
I'm passionate about guiding individuals toward achieving their personal and financial dreams by providing them with the skills, mentorship and support they need to succeed. Owning a Domino's franchise not only allows me to build a successful business, but also to create a positive impact on the lives of others, helping them grow and reach their full potential.'
Chris Schlater
Across the U.S., roughly 96 percent of Domino's locations are franchise-owned, according to the company.
