Qatar participates in International Astronomy Olympiad 2025 in India

A Qatari team is participating in the 2025 International Astronomy Olympiad, being hosted by India from August 11 to 21.
The competition will feature a select group of students from around the world. This reflects Qatar's commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening its scientific presence on the international stage.
The participation comes through a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar Calendar House. Five outstanding school students in physics and science subjects were selected and prepared through intensive training programmes in astronomy and physics, delivered by specialised trainers and experts.
The Astronomy Olympiad represents an important global forum for exchanging expertise and knowledge, and an opportunity for students to hone their scientific skills, broaden their horizons, and learn from the experiences of their peers from different countries, thus enhancing their passion for research and discovery.
