MSU baseball defeats Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 8-3
Jake Boss Jr. has his Michigan State baseball team absolutely rolling to start the 2025 season. MSU is officially off to their best start since 2016, after improving to 6-0 on Saturday night.
The Spartans are currently down in Corpus Christi (TX) for a three game invitational, the 2025 Kleberg Bank College Classic. After dominating Washington State on Friday, the Spartans returned on Saturday to face off with the host's of the invitational, Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
Michigan State defeated the Islanders, 8-3.
As has been the story to begin this year, MSU was led by Ryan McKay and Nick Williams, who in 10 combined at bats, reached base every time. Both players went 2-for-2, while McKay had two walks and a hit by pitch, and Williams had three walks.
Zach Maxey picked up the win for Michigan State, while Nolan Higgins and Logan Pikur were strong on the mound.
Michigan State will return to action on Sunday morning for a game against UCLA at 11:30 a.m.
