Which Nets played the best in the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League?

The Brooklyn Nets are finished with the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League after getting a chance to see four of the five rookies from the 2025 NBA Draft play. Brooklyn came away from the summer league with just a 1-4 record, but they were able to get a sense of what players like guard Egor Demin would look like against NBA competition prior to the 2025-26 campaign. HoopsHype put together a list of how each player on the Nets performed in Las Vegas and the results of their rating system should not shock any Nets fan who watched their team play in the summer league. For starters, Brooklyn center Drew Timme had himself quite the performance as he dropped 25.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. HoopsHype had Timme as the highest-performing players for the Nets, but in terms of the entire summer league, he ranked as the 55th-best player in the event. While Timme did not make the first-team or second-team All-Summer League, despite a solid case for him to be on either of those teams, it did not take away from the fact that Timme played well and caught the attention of some notable figures within the NBA space. Moving on, most Nets fans were watching the summer league to see how the four rookies that were able to play and HoopsHype had a rating for all of them. Forward Danny Wolf was the best-performing player from the 2025 class, followed by guard Egor Demin, guard Ben Saraf, and guard Nolan Traore. For context, Wolf ranked as the 182nd-best player in the summer league. Ultimately, the summer league is a small sample size so time will tell if any of the rookies will be worth their draft slot when they have to go against all that the league has to offer. However, Brooklyn comes away from Las Vegas knowing which rookies have room to improve and which ones will be able to contribute to winning basketball games next season.

Nets vs. Magic summer league game preview: How to watch, lineups

The Brooklyn Nets (0-3) were hoping for a better performance in the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League as they finished last year's event with a 3-2 record, just missing the playoffs. However, Brooklyn has not won a game prior to Wednesday's slate so making it to the playoffs is not in the cards for them, but they can still make the most of their time in Sin City. The Nets will be playing their fourth game of the summer league against the Orlando Magic, a team in a similar spot to Brooklyn as they are also 0-3. Brooklyn is coming off a 97-93 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday in which the Nets lost despite getting another great outing out of center Drew Timme. Brooklyn had no answer on defense for Knicks guard Tyler Kolek or forward MarJon Beauchamp. The Magic are coming off a 92-75 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday in which guard Ethan Thompson had 16 points and four rebounds, but his effort wasn't enough to get Orlando their first win in the summer league. At this point, Brooklyn or Orlando will be getting their win in Las Vegas after this contest so here's what you need to know to get ready for the game: How To Watch Probable Starting Lineups Brooklyn Nets Orlando Magic Who To Watch Before discussing who to watch, it's important to note that guards Nolan Traore and Ben Saraf are not expected to play in this matchup as the team is expected to sit them out for the second half of a back-to-back. According to reports from Brian Lewis of the New York Post and Erik Slater of ClutchPoints, the Nets planned on resting the two international guards prior to Tuesday's loss to the Knicks. Saraf is most likely held out due to rest, but Traore did land on his back on Tuesday so he could use the rest after dealing with an ankle injury earlier in the summer league. With that being said, guard Egor Demin and forward Danny Wolf are expected to play against the Magic and the hope is that at least one of the duo can have a breakout game with just two contests left on the slate, including this one. After the first couple of games in which summer league head coach Steve Hetzel was trying to see how all of the rookies would be able to play on the floor together, it seems like Brooklyn is now looking at how the rookies perform without each other on the floor. Center Drew Timme has been the Nets' best player, but it's likely that he gets some rest for either this game or the last one on the schedule for Brooklyn.

Who will be playing for the Nets in the 2025 NBA LV Summer League?

The Brooklyn Nets announced on Saturday their roster for the upcoming 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League that will be held from July 10-20. Brooklyn will be participating in the event for the 11th time and Nets fans have seen some of the young players on the team rise to the occasion like forward Jalen Wilson did last year. Summer League is an important time of the NBA calendar for NBA teams as they get to see how some of their younger players perform against NBA competition prior to training camp and the preseason. The Nets will be taking this time of the year more important than most teams given how many rookies they drafted from the 2025 NBA Draft that was held last week. From Egor Demin to Danny Wolf, Brooklyn and its fans will be able to see some of the youngest players on the team get on the floor and show what they have at this point. However, there are other players on the roster to show what they have as well so here are the players that will make up the team as it competes for a championship on the UNLV campus: Roster G TJ Bamba Bamba, listed at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, was an undrafted free-agent from the 2025 NBA Draft after playing for Washington State, Villanova, and Oregon over the course of his 5-year college career. Bamba spent his fifth and final collegiate season with the Ducks and averaged 10.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 38.9% from the field and 25.3% from three-point land. G Caleb Daniels Daniels, listed at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, went undrafted after the 2023 NBA Draft and has been the past two seasons within the Miami Heat's organization. During his time with the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, Daniels averaged 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 35.2% from three-point land. G/F D'Andre "Dre" Davis Davis, listed at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft after finishing a college career that took him through Louisville and Seton Hall before his fifth and final season at Ole Miss. Davis averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 45.5% from the field and 32.5% from three-point land for the Rebels. G Egor Demin Demin, standing at 6-foot-9 and 190 pounds, was Brooklyn's first of five first-round picks in the 2025 NBA Draft and as the eighth overall pick, he will be arguably the most-watched member of the Summer League team. Demin is coming off a freshman season at BYU in which he averaged 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game while shooting 41.2% from the field and 27.3% from three-point land. G Tyson Etienne Etienne, standing at 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds, saw his first action in the NBA last season as a member of the Nets after coming into the league as an undrafted free-agent following the 2022 NBA Draft. F Tosan Evbuomwan Evbuomwan, listed at 6-foot-7 and 217 pounds, has the most NBA experience on the Summer League roster given that he has played for three different teams over the past two seasons. Last season with the Nets, Evbuomwan averaged 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 42.7% from the field and 31.2% from behind the three-point line. F/C Grant Nelson Nelson, standing at 6-foot-11 and 230 pounds, is coming off a solid college career that saw him play at North Dakota State and Alabama before being an undrafted free-agent after the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft. During his fifth and final season with the Crimson Tide, Nelson averaged 11.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 52.2% from the field and 25.8% from three-point land. G Quincy Olivari Olivari, standing at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, spent half of last season as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers on a Two-Way contract, but most of his experience came in the G League with the South Bay Lakers. In the G League, Olivari averaged 17.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 40.2% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the three-point arc. C Nick Ongenda Ongenda, listed at 6-foot-11 and 230 pounds, went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft after a solid four-year career at DePaul, including his senior season when he averaged 12.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 blocks per game while shooting 46.6% from the field and 60.0% from the free-throw line. Ongenda spent the 2023-24 season in the G League with the Utah Jazz's Salt Lake City Stars while using this past season to play internationally with Anwil Wloclawek in Poland. F Drake Powell Powell, standing at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, was the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft after the Nets acquired the pick from the Atlanta Hawks via a multi-team trade that also included the Boston Celtics. Powell is coming off a freshman season at North Carolina in which he averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 48.3% from the floor and 37.9% from deep. G Terry Roberts Roberts, listed at 6-foot-2 and 171 pounds, has spent the last two seasons with the G League's Long Island Nets and has been solid for the team as one of the point guards on the roster. Roberts averaged 6.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 39.7% from the field and 31.0% from three-point land last season in Long Island. F Tyrese Samuel Samuel, listed at 6-foot-10 and 239 pounds, spent last season as a member of the Valley Suns, the G League afiliate of the Phoenix Suns while trying to work his way into an NBA rotation of some sort. Samuel averaged 9.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 63.5% from the field and 59.2% from the free-throw line in 19.9 minutes per game. F Drew Timme Timme, standing at 6-foot-10 and 235 pounds, spent some of last season with the Nets after earning a spot on the roster following his excellent play in Long Island for Brooklyn's G League team. During his time with Brooklyn, Timme averaged 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 44.1% from the field and 25.7% from three-point land in 28.2 minutes played per game. G Nolan Traore Traore, standing at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, was the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft after playing this past season in France for Saint-Quentin after deciding to stay with his professional team for one more season. During the 2024-25 season, Traore averaged 12.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 41.0% from the field and 31.4% from three-point land in 22.7 minutes per contest. Wolf stands to be arguably the most interesting player on the Nets roster due to his ability to handle the ball from the forward spot.

Nets announce roster for 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League

The Brooklyn Nets are less than one week away from seeing what some of the youngest players on the team are ready to do at the next level. Following the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft, Brooklyn only has to wait until July 10 when the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League tips off and now, Nets fans know who will be playing during that time. The Nets announced on Saturday their roster for the Las Vegas Summer League as the team is gearing up for a 2025-26 season that is hopefully better than 2024-25. For starters, Brooklyn assistant coach Steve Hetzel will once again be leading the Nets during the event as he looks to improve from last year's 3-2 record to hopefully guide the team to the league championship. When the Nets begin play at 5:30PM ET on July 10 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, they will be led on the court by players like guard Egor Demin, the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and guard Nolan Traore, the 19th overall pick. The Nets' other three draft picks, forward Drake Powell (22nd overall pick), guard Ben Saraf (26th), and forward Danny Wolf (27th) will be playing as well. In addition to the youngest players taking the floor for Brooklyn, they will have some veterans on the court as well with players like forward Tosan Evbuomwan, center Drew Timme, and guard Tyson Etienne on the roster. All three veterans played for the Nets last season and as it stands, Evbuomwan and Etienne are set to spend time in Brooklyn and in Long Island since they are currently signed to Two-Way contracts. This will be Brooklyn's 11th time competing in the Las Vegas Summer League for the 11th time. Last season, under the guidance of Hetzel, Jalen Wilson played arguably the best basketball of his career as he averaged 21.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game on 47.3/55.0/89.5/ shooting splits. Wilson's performance earned the Summer League MVP award so it will be interesting to see if someone on the Nets can do something similar this time around.
