This year, at the 2025 Open at Oakmont, the ams will be well represented. Of the 744 names on the tee sheets at the 10 final qualifying sites at the beginning of the day on Monday, June 2 – also known as Golf's Longest Day – there were 236 amateurs. Monday night, seven of them got through and punched their tickets to the U.S. Open.
