Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell sues Florida sheriff's office over beach trespassers
Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell says a local Florida sheriff's office isn't doing enough to protect his multimillion-dollar beachfront property from trespassers and is asking a judge for an order commanding deputies to do so. The petition filed last month by Littrell's company in a Florida Panhandle county touches on a perennial tug-of-war between usually-wealthy oceanfront property owners and beach-loving members of the public, especially in Florida, which has 825 miles of sandy beaches. Under Florida law, any sand on a beach below the high tide water mark is public. 'The Walton County Sheriff's Office prides itself on handling every situation, call for service, or interaction with professionalism using a customer service approach,' public information officer Lindsey Darby said in an email. 'This has always been our philosophy and will remain so moving forward.' In the petition, Littrell's company said that chairs, umbrellas and small tables had been put out on the beach, as well as 'No Trespassing' signs, to mark it as private property. 3 Any sand on a beach below the high tide water mark is public, according to Florida law. AP But that effort had been in vain 'as numerous trespassers have set out to antagonize, bully, and harass the Littrell family by regularly, every day, trespassing,' according to the petition. The sheriff's office has refused requests to remove trespassers or charge them, and the family has had to hire private security, the petition said. Florida lawmakers this year approved legislation that restored control back to local authorities, and Gov. Ron DeSantis signed it into law last month in Santa Rosa Beach, the beach town where Littrell's house is located.

They often leaned into each other to converse while exchanging smiles during the weekend bash. While their playful chemistry caught the attention of onlookers, Sweeney and MGK have known each other since starring together in the 2021 film Downfalls High. MGK also directed the film. Sweeney was later seen having fun with White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger at the same event. This new sighting of Sweeney comes just a week after she was seen getting close to her Housemaid co-star Brandon Sklenar at the 2025 Stagecoach Festival. While their exchange appeared flirty, a source told Us Weekly they are just close pals. 'They are just really good friends, and Sydney is living her best life right now,' the insider said in an article published Thursday. The insider noted that they may have appeared more than platonic because the 27-year-old has 'a flirtatious personality' — one that was on display during her hangout with MGK and Schwarzenegger, too. Sweeney called off her wedding to Jonathan Davino before officially breaking up with him for good in March. She and the film producer, 41, were together for seven years.

Sweeney swayed her head back and forth while mouthing the words to a song as the It Ends With Us star towered over her and looked around, keeping his hood over his head. Earlier this month, the Euphoria star interviewed Sklenar for Interview magazine, and though they kept the conversation professional, they didn't shy away from complimenting each other. After the 1923 star told Sweeney about his approach to tackling his character in Drop, she replied, 'Well, I felt like you made him super compassionate and caring. You understood what she was going through, and you were there for her. There were a lot of layers, and it was deep.' He returned the favour when the topic of her physical transformation to play boxer Christy Martin in a forthcoming biopic came up. 'I think it's f***ing remarkable what you did for that role, truly,' he gushed. 'I can't wait for people to see that.'
