DC military parade to cause Metrobus detours, road closures

WASHINGTON () — As D.C. gears up to host the 250th U.S. Army Anniversary Parade, lining the streets of the city with hundreds of military vehicles and equipment, officials said residents can expect to see dozens of street closures and several Metrobus detours. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) said that beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, until 7 a.m. on Monday, June 16, over 10 Metrobus routes will detour to accommodate the parade and subsequent festival.
