Omani wins silver at World Military Taekwondo Championship

Berlin, Germany – An Omani martial artist has claimed a silver medal at the 28th World Military Taekwondo Championship being held in Germany till June 29.
Cpl Shabeeb bin Salem al Wuhaibi earned the silver in the under-58kg weight category. The medal marks a significant achievement for the sultanate on the international military sports stage.
Col Hamad bin Salem al Balushi, Director of Military Sports at Sultan's Armed Forces and head of the Omani delegation, praised the team's efforts at the championship.
'Our participation in this championship has been successful by all standards,' he said.
'Securing a silver medal reflects the commitment and determination of our athletes. I extend appreciation to everyone who supported the team and contributed to this result.'
Coach Sgt Adel bin Khalifa al Wuhaibi credited the medal to Cpl Wuhaibi and the team's preparation and focus. 'Our players demonstrated a high level of technical ability and strong competitiveness. Their performance reflects the hard work and collective effort behind the scenes. We are pleased to begin the championship with this success and aim for more medals in the coming days.'
