(KTAL/KMSS)— Downtown Shreveport celebrates 318 weekends, championing local culture, music, food, and fashion festival. 318 Day Festival celebrated the community with live music, craft vendors, food trucks, and local artists. It featured performances by local artists, such as Go DJ Yoshi, Richard + Ouro Boar, Chaynler Joie, Edi Ki, Port City All-Star Band, and Shreveport Bone Society. Tomorrow there will be the 318 Food Festival and PurpleReign Fashion Show featuring designer Latasha V. Henderson. 318 Restaurant Week brings exclusive dining to Shreveport-Bossier One of the entertainers this weekend, DJ Hotboy Yoshi, said this is his first time at the festival and that it is excellent for the city. 'It's very important that we get out and fellowship and support local businesses, seasonal. We need to do this in the spring, summer, and fall year round, and that way we are going to grow our community and eventually grow our city, eventually grow our state into bigger things,' says DJ Hotboy Yoshi. Anderson Avenue and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council organized the 318 Day Festival. Chili and gumbo cook-off returns to Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Fifth Annual Chili and Gumbo Cook-off will take place in Shreveport. Dine out in Shreveport-Bossier during 318 Restaurant Week Residents will have the chance to sample a variety of chili and gumbo dishes. Gate admission will be $10, while children under the age of 10 can get in for free. Drinks will be available for purchase as well. If you would like to compete, the entry fee is $15 which includes four armbands for you team.
