KTM 390 Adventure X Updated With Cruise Control And Riding Modes In India
KTM has introduced the updated version of the KTM 390 Adventure X with advanced features to further bolster the sale of the model launched in India in February. Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen, popularly known as KTM, has launched an updated version of the 390 Adventure X, packed with advanced features aimed at enhancing the riding experience. The latest iteration now comes equipped with cruise control, cornering traction control, and cornering ABS, along with three riding modes – Street, Rain, and Off-road. Although the bike's overall design remains the same as the model introduced in India in February 2025, the major upgrades lie in its functionality. The refreshed 390 Adventure X now features new switchgear, including a dedicated button for cruise control and a toggle switch to adjust the cruising speed. Under the hood, the motorcycle continues to sport the 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 45 BHP and 39 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring the same performance KTM fans have come to expect. Equipped with a telescopic fork in the front and a mono-shock in the rear, the updated 390 Adventure X rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres and has disc brakes at both ends in its braking system. The KTM 390 Adventure X update will maintain the on-road characteristics of the previous model while handling off-road conditions better. The addition of different riding modes offers bike riders an enhanced experience, providing various throttle maps depending on the rider's needs. The riders can expect better control in different conditions and on different types of terrains. KTM is also offering a switchgear from the standard model to switch between modes. Bike riders will get the cruise control button and can also use the toggle switch for speed control. Indian bike riders, who have been enjoying the KTM 390 Adventure X since the start of the year, can expect a pocket-friendly switch to the enhanced version of the model that is available at a starting price of Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom), only Rs 12,000 higher than the previous version. When launched in February, the bike came with an initial price of Rs 2.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). KTM has reinforced its middleweight ADV portfolio in India with the introduction of two distinct offerings — the updated KTM 390 Adventure X and the globally-spec KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R. While the former caters to long-distance touring enthusiasts now seeking more value and tech, the latter is purpose-built for riders who demand uncompromised off-road performance, rooted in Dakar DNA. The KTM 390 Adventure X continues to be the accessible gateway into KTM's adventure series, but now gets a significant electronics upgrade. The highlight of this launch, however, is the KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R, offered in its global-spec trim. Designed for riders seeking serious trail capability, the Enduro R features a split-trellis frame with long-travel suspension, including a 43-mm inverted telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, both offering 230 mm of travel. The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels are shod with aggressive Karoo 4 rubber for optimum grip in technical terrain. Powering the Enduro R is a 398.63 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 46 PS at 8500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The six-speed gearbox is equipped with a quickshifter for clutchless shifts, and the electronics suite includes off-road ABS, traction control, and a minimal TFT dashboard with turn-by-turn navigation. With a dry weight of 159.2 kg and 277 mm of ground clearance, it is clear that the Enduro R prioritises capability over comfort. A high saddle height of 895 mm reinforces its hardcore focus. Both models are now available across KTM showrooms in India. The updated KTM 390 Adventure X is priced at ₹3,03,125, while the international-spec KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R commands ₹3,53,825.

It is to be noted that initially the bike was launched at Rs 2.91 lakh (ex-showroom). While the appearance of the bike is unchanged, the feature list now offers advanced rider aid features. Specifically, the bike now comes with cornering ABS, a cruise control system, and cornering traction control. Some of these features are usually available with bigger motorcycles. Along with this, the brand is offering three riding modes: Street, Rain, and Off-Road. The addition of riding modes to the bike offers various throttle maps depending on the rider's needs. It is expected to improve the riding experience by offering better control in different conditions and on different types of terrains. To toggle through these modes, the brand is offering a switchgear from the standard model. It comes along with the cruise control button and a toggle switch to control the speed. From a mechanical perspective, the KTM 390 Adventure X Plus will retain its existing standard setup. The braking system remains the same, while also featuring 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear. It will maintain the on-road characteristics of the previous model while still being capable of handling off-road conditions. The KTM 390 Adventure X continues to be powered by the same 399 cc LC4c single-cylinder engine, which is calibrated to deliver 45 hp at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm.
