Libyan forces rescue 11 kidnapped women, arrest internationally wanted criminal
Libya's 4444 Combat Brigade announced it had captured a foreign national wanted internationally and freed 11 kidnapped women during a military operation on Sunday evening.
In a statement posted on its official page, the brigade said a unit arrested the suspect, a Ghanaian national known as Said, also nicknamed 'Begi,' who had been living in Libya.
According to the statement, the suspect had turned a large property — originally used to house migrant workers — into a base for criminal activities. He allegedly abducted 11 women of various nationalities and forced them into prostitution under threats, profiting from their exploitation.
The operation followed international alerts about the women's abduction. After thorough surveillance, the military unit raided the premises on Sunday, rescuing the victims and arresting the suspect. He has been referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further legal procedures. Crimes Tagged: 4444 Combat Brigade
