Lotfy Labib Hospitalized in ICU
Yara Sameh Veteran Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib was hospitalized in the intensive care (ICU) on Sunday after suffering a health scare. He underwent the medical tests to determine the cause of his illness. Father Boutros Daniel, director of the Catholic Centre for Cinema in Egypt, has shared an update on the actor's health, explaining that he suffered a sudden health issue in the past hours that required his transfer to the hospital, where he is in the ICU and banned from receiving visitors. He added that Labib is attached to his fans, loves them, and appreciates them, and asked the actor's fans to pray for him. "The best thing they can do now is pray for his speedy recovery," Labib noted. Labib's manager explained that the acclaimed actor had previously suffered a stroke that affected his movement, leading to his temporary absence from the acting scene. He added that Labib is undergoing regular physical therapy sessions and continuing his daily life normally despite the limited number of projects offered to him, due to his current health condition. On March 29, the veteran actor announced his retirement from acting due to his health condition. "In my current health condition, if I get a role, I won't be able to play it because I prefer that my image remains as it was to the fans," he said. The acclaimed actor has worked profusely, in many supporting but memorable roles, with over 200 film and television credits. Through many of his screen appearances, Labib has performed admirably and has shown himself to be one of the strongest performers of his generation. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Netflix's "Building the Band" Dedicates Series to Liam Payne: "We Never Imagined We'd Be Saying Goodbye"
Yara Sameh The new Netflix competition series 'Building the Band' has been dedicated to the guest host Liam Payne, who passed away in October. In the premiere episode of the series, host AJ McLean honors the One Direction member, who will make his first posthumous appearance in later episodes, which is set to arrive next week. 'When we came together to film 'Building the Band,' we never imagined we'd soon be saying goodbye to our friend Liam Payne,' McLean said at the beginning of the episode. 'Liam is a guest judge in later episodes, and through his presence, we see his deep love for music and his unwavering commitment to helping others find their voice. It's through that spirit that we dedicate this series to Liam and his family.' The late pop star served as a guest judge alongside Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger. Payne began filming his scenes for 'Building the Band' in the summer of 2024, with filming wrapping in August, according to Deadline. In an interview with Access Hollywood , Scherzinger said she's 'thrilled for everyone to see Liam shine' on the show. 'I know that he was in his happy place.' 'Building the Band' is a reality show and singing competition show that prioritizes personal chemistry between the band members. The singers speak to each other through a wall — in the style of Netflix's dating series, 'Love Is Blind' — until they finally meet face-to-face and grow and test their musical compatibility. The first four episodes of 'Building the Band' are available to stream now. Three more will release on July 16, with the final set of episodes premiering on July 23. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
