Amazon sale sees Fire TV Sticks and tablets fall up to £70
Amazon has unveiled a fresh round of deals across its own-brand devices including the Fire TV Stick and Fire tablets with savings of £70 up for grabs on select models Amazon has been quietly cutting prices across its own-brand range of tech, with plenty of discounts up for grabs on Fire TV Sticks and Fire tablets. There's discounts on every model of the retail giant's flagship streaming stick, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and its 'most powerful' tablet, the Fire Max 11. We've also spotted a handful of deals on Echo speakers including the latest Echo Pop and Echo Dot Kids, which are down to £29.99 and £44.99 respectively. But in today's edition of Top Tech, we're focusing on a selection of price drops across the Fire TV Stick and Fire tablet range. There's savings of up to £70 on offer for those on the hunt for the best pay day deal, with options suited for any budget. However, Amazon has not confirmed for how long the deals will be sticking around. So read on for our round up of the latest deals on Amazon devices before they're gone. Amazon Fire TV Sticks Brits looking to upgrade their TV can bag a bargain across Amazon's entire Fire TV Stick range, with savings of up to 29%. The largest discounts are on the Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max, both of which are now £20 off at £39.99 and £49.99 respectively. There's also £30 off the Fire TV Cube, Amazon's 4K Ultra HD box that's down from £139.99 to £109.99, while the most affordable Fire TV Stick HD is down from £39.99 to £29.99. But the 4K Max is our top pick as it's touted as Amazon's 'most powerful' streaming stick. It offers easy access to countless films and series on streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+ with 4K Ultra HD picture quality and Dolby Atmos audio. It also boasts 16GB of storage – twice that of other models – so there's more room for apps, games and software updates. However, keep in mind that those wanting to stream with the likes of Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+ will need paid subscriptions directly with the streamers as they are not included for free. Another of our favourite streaming options is Sky's £15 Essential TV bundle, which comes with more than 100 channels such as Sky Atlantic, alongside subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ at no extra cost. Amazon Fire tablets Shoppers in the market for a new tablet can save up to £70 on Amazon's Fire range, with the brand's 'most powerful' tablet, the Fire Max 11, reduced from £249.99 to £184.99 – a £65 saving. This is for the 64GB model, while the 128GB model is £70 off at £219.99. The Fire Max 11 is Amazon's most premium tablet – which some say rivals Apple's entry-level iPads – boasting an 11' screen with 2.4 million pixels, a slim aluminium body that's 'as thin as a pencil' and reinforced with strengthened glass. For those looking to keep costs down, Amazon's mid-range Fire HD 10 is now down from £149.99 to £109.99. The most affordable tablet in Amazon's range is the Fire HD 8, which is reduced from £99.99 to £69.99. They offer an alternative to the more expensive gadgets, but those who prefer Apple may want to consider Sky Mobile's deals, where the new iPad (2025) is available for £10.50 when spreading the cost. This comes on a 48-month plan and must be paired with a data SIM, but it won't hurt the wallet as much as buying it outright from Amazon for £309.97 or Argos for £329. But those sticking with the Fire Max 11 can get their hands on what's been described as Amazon's 'best-ever Fire tablet'. One five-star review says: 'A superb tablet. Easy to set up. Lightning fast. Streaming image quality is flawless and the sound is just like surround sound – I'm honestly not sure which is better, the built-in speaker sound or headphone sound.' However, the same buyer noted a potential downside: 'The only negative I can see is the lack of crossover with my Windows anti-virus software.' But another happy customer said: 'Very impressed for the price. I've had several Fire tablets that were useful but on the budget side. The Fire Max is a big step up in performance, screen, and build quality provided you can live with the locked-down nature of the device.'

It also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and immersive Dolby Atmos audio, and offers access to millions of songs on music streaming platforms like Amazon Music and Spotify, as well as gaming with Amazon Luna. The 4K Max boasts 16GB of storage – double that of other models – providing twice as much space for apps, games and software updates, reports the Mirror. With Wi-Fi 6E support and a compatible router, the device allows for seamless 4K streaming even with multiple internet-connected devices. Other streaming options include Sky's revamped Essential TV bundle, which provides more than 100 channels including Sky Atlantic, alongside free Netflix and Discovery+ access for £15 each month. However, neither Sky or Amazon's Fire TV Stick provide free access to other streamers like Prime Video or Disney+, which must be joined separately. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max has racked up more than 9,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, where customers have described it as a 'game-changer' and the provider of the 'best streaming experience'. Its superior performance, coupled with Wi-Fi 6E support, makes it an excellent investment for the best streaming experience." Another said: "Great streaming stick with superb picture quality. This is great as it also does 4K as well, and the picture and sound are great. It's very compact, so it will fit most HDMI inputs on your TV. Very fast when it comes to operating the device, and selecting apps is smooth and trouble-free. Very happy with this purchase and even thinking about buying another one, even though they aren't the cheapest streaming stick on the market, they are well worth the money." However, despite praising the gadget as 'brilliant', another customer noted a downside regarding the remote control, saying: "Brilliant Fire Stick. This was easy to set up, quickly ready to go and has been a dream. It is responsive, there's no lag time, the quality of the pictures are brilliant. Only (small) issue was that the remote is a bit flimsy and not particularly well made."

Amazon's most powerful streaming stick is just $40 with this limited-time deal
One of the best Amazon streaming devices is close to its all-time low price right now, with the price of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max dropped all the way down to just $40. That's good for $20 off, as the premium streaming stick regularly goes for $60. And Amazon is offering even more opportunity to save if you have a device to trade-in. An additional 20% off the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is yours if that's the case. There's a lot to choose from in the Amazon Fire TV Stick lineup, with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max checking in as the premium and most feature-packed option. It's also the most powerful in the lineup, as it's backed by a 2.0Ghz quad-core processor. This ensures rapid app launches and snappy navigation through menus and content. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max also comes with 16GB of storage space, which is double what you'll find in the lower-priced models in the lineup. Streaming sticks like the 4K Max come in handy if you're looking for a way to access streaming services and gaming services on a TV that doesn't already have access to such. You'll find Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, and the like built into the Fire TV Stick 4K Max's software, as well as access to Xbox games without the requirement of a console through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. All of that content seems like it could be too much for a streaming stick to handle, but the Fire TV Stick 4K Max delivers breathtaking 4K Ultra HD resolution. It also has advanced HDR technologies that include Dolby Vision and HDR10+. These produce vibrant colors and exceptional brightness that bring all of your favorite content to life. You can easily access these technologies — as well as any content you'd like to watch — through voice controls powered by Alexa. While the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max regularly goes for $60, this deal brings it down to $40, which is one of its lowest prices ever. Amazon does have this marked as a limited-time deal, however, so don't dawdle if you feel the Fire TV Stick 4K Max could enhance your home theater experience.
