Days of Our Lives Recap: Belle Receives a Special Delivery at The Salem PD
Days of Our Lives Recap: Belle Receives a Special Delivery at The Salem PD originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Stephanie's Place: Stephanie and Alex are relaxing. She wants to do something fun for the 4th of July holiday. He suggests a picnic in the park where they can watch the fireworks. She is on board as they can pick up food from the pub where she can check up on Uncle Roman. Stephanie says EJ reached out to her about doing some PR work. Alex recalls EJ had her kidnapped and locked in a morgue. She gets it but didn't turn him down because she would be helping the hospital. Alex isn't convinced but Stephanie says she wants to help her mother and has a meeting with him next week. He wishes she would quit the PR game and become a full-time, best selling author. Stephanie says pursuing writing full-time is tempting. They discuss a bit more and begin to kiss. Brady Pub: Roman asks Kate about Philip who is out of the hospital. She says he's swell and shifts to asking Roman about Johnny's arrest. She worries he blames himself for Johnny's predicament. Roman totally blames himself as his gun was used to shoot EJ and Johnny was so angry because of what he told him about his mother's rape. Kate says he did nothing on purpose but Roman can't be consoled. He says keeping information from the police made it look like he was covering for his guilty grandson. Kate thinks it should count for something he tried to make things right by going to the station with his gun. Kate says they both hate EJ but know he will fight for his son. Roman thanks his Katie for supporting him to the fullest. She says he can always count on her and the two embrace. Marlena and John's Penthouse: Kristen and Brady are discussing the possibility of Rachel giving a statement to the police and testifying at Johnny's trial when Marlena enters. Brady wants Marlena's advice and she says to keep it simple and says she just needs to tell the truth. Kristen worries as she's certain Johnny plugged his father. Marlena says she believes Johnny didn't shoot his father, but Kristen doesn't believe a word of his story. Brady says he also believes Johnny but Kristen doubles down. She thinks folks probably believed Will when he said he didn't shoot EJ and they all know how that turned out. Marlena stands up and screams at Kristen to 'STOP IT!' Kristen apologizes but Marlena says she needs air and quickly exits. Brady scolds Kristen but she refuses to bury her head in the sand. Rachel saw Johnny with a gun and then heard a gunshot. Her testimony could TOTALLY put Johnny away. Kristen thinks they need to be prepared to support their daughter. Brady wants them to be a untied front so they can keep their daughter calm. Kristen doesn't do calm and hates she can't solve this situation for her baby girl. They agree they must work together so Rachel knows they are both supporting her. Brady suggests Rachel stay at the penthouse through the trial and Kristen, surprisingly, agrees as long as she can visit anytime. He agrees as long as she steers clear of Marlena. Salem PD – Interrogation Room: Belle works away when Paulina enters. She says she got word from the judge who has 'un-recused' Belle from prosecuting Johnny's case. Belle wonders why and Paulina points the finger at EJ. The judge doesn't believe an ADA can handle the situation despite the family connection. Paulina knows EJ doesn't mind using his family's money and influence to get what he wants. Belle assures Paulina she can do her job. She says she isn't worried about her connection to Johnny. It's her connection to EJ which gives her pause. Belle promises she won't fall prey to corruption from EJ nor anyone else. Chanel and Johnny's Digs: (The apartment came together QUICKLY). Chanel chats with Lani on the phone when Abe arrives for a visit. He thought she might need an ear and the two embrace. Chanel hopes her mother didn't send him over to plead her case because she isn't ready to forgive her. Abe says he's there of his own accord but does say Paulina was in a no-win situation. Chanel just can't forget her mother did her family dirty. Just then, Paulina arrives. Chanel wants to hear nothing from her mother as she blames her for Johnny's current predicament. Paulina tries to defend herself saying the evidence was undeniable. She wants to believe in his innocence but doesn't know what to think. Chanel tells her to get out but Paulina reminds her daughter she bought and paid for the house. Chanel says she and Johnny will move when Abe steps in and calms the waters. He takes her hand and quickly leads his wife out. DiMera Mansion – Living Room: Johnny arrives to see his father so they can discuss his upcoming trial. Johnny and EJ go over the information Rachel can provide. Johnny feels badly for his cousin having to live with what she saw for so long. EJ says he continues wracking his brain for details but comes up short. Johnny says they know Ava and Gabi were there that evening and EJ says Kristen was, as well. EJ says Kristen claims she was taking a shower when the shooting happened but also remembers how his sister threatened him. Johnny notes Kristen was the first person arrested for the shooting. EJ notes her gun didn't shoot him but thinks she could have used Roman's gun since Johnny gave it back to him. Johnny gets where his daddy is going and says lying about Kristen being the culprit could seriously backfire. He wonders if the shooter is someone they haven't considered. EJ notes there were lots of folks who possibly wanted him dead. Johnny is amazed his father protected him whilst also thinking he was guilty. EJ wishes Chanel could get to the place his son is. Johnny says he should give his wife some time. Horton Square: Marlena and Belle run into each other. Marlena says Kristen is at the house and can't deal with her foolishness about Johnny. Belle shuts her down and lets her know she's been 'un-recused' and must prosecute her nephew whilst going against her boyfriend. Marlena is surprised to hear her daughter refer to EJ as her boyfriend but Belle says she has taken her mother's advice and decided with whom she should be with. Marlena can't imagine how Belle will manage the upcoming trial. Brady Pub: Stephanie and Alex arrive and run into Kate. He asks why she's still wearing an apron and Kate says she's unable to take the job at Titan. She explains how Roman is going to be consumed with Johnny's trial and must help her husband. Alex almost begs Kate to reconsider. Stephanie steps up saying how helpful her notes were (uh-oh) which leads Kate to realize she is the author of 'One Stormy Night.' Chanel and Johnny's Digs: Johnny arrives home and finds Chanel in tears after her encounter with her mother. He says his meeting with his father went very well as he has a handle on the case. Chanel asks about their personal relationship and Johnny says they are on the way to reconciliation. Chanel is unwell with her husband's answer. Endings Stephanie is mortified Kate knows she wrote the book. She says she only agreed to let Alex publish the book because she knew Kate would be in charge of the whole thing. Stephanie says she can tell from Kate's notes just how much she loves the editing process. Just then, Roman arrives and learns Kate has been offered a job at Titan she's decided to take. Paulina and Abe wander around the square while she decides to ride out her issues with her daughter. Chanel and Johnny discuss EJ and she makes him promise he will be careful with his father's affections. Marlena agrees to join Brady and Rachel for the fireworks. EJ very clearly asks Kristen to make Rachel lie under oath. She goes OFF saying if he does anything to her daughter or mother he will regret it. EJ says if his son goes to prison there will be devastating consequences. Belle returns to the Salem PD and finds an envelope with her name on it. She opens it and sees the memory card and promptly flashes back to all her conversations with her 'boyfriend.' Keep checking back for the latest Days of Our Lives recaps! Laura Loomer rips AG Pam Bondi over Epstein files: ‘She was always lying'
MAGA influencer Laura Loomer tore into Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and claimed she was 'always lying' about their release. Loomer, one of Bondi's fiercest critics, posted a scathing message on X following the Department of Justice and FBI's new memo, released late Sunday, that said an investigation found that the convicted pedophile did not have a 'client list' to blackmail individuals. Loomer has repeatedly called for Bondi to resign over her handling of the files, and did so again Monday. 'Blondi lied,' Loomer posted on X shortly after news of the memo broke. 'She was always lying.' The conspiracy theorist, who generally aligns with the hardcore 'America First' wing of President Donald Trump's coalition, also speculated about the timing of the memo's release. 'Who releases a statement about the Epstein files on the Sunday night of 4th of July weekend?' she asked her followers. 'Someone who doesn't want you paying attention.' Loomer also addressed previous accusations that she was 'jealous' about being snubbed by Bondi for the event where 'Phase 1' Epstein binders were handed out to MAGA influencers. Bondi was mocked after she invited right-wing influencers to the White House in February, where they were given binders that contained no new bombshells about the case. The binders contained information that had been circulating in the public domain for years. 'People said I was 'jealous' I wasn't invited to the Binder Gate scandal,' Loomer said. 'Now everyone else is calling for her to resign. The only people who are jealous are the people who cannot keep up with me and my insight.' The Independent has contacted the Department of Justice for comment. Sunday night's two-page DOJ/FBI memo also confirmed that Epstein died by suicide in a New York City jail cell on August 10, 2019. 'No further disclosure is appropriate or warranted,' the memo read, adding that no more Epstein-related investigations will be launched into third parties. Former 'first buddy' Elon Musk, who took the feud with Trump to new heights last month when he accused him of being 'in the Epstein files, shared in Loomer's outrage. 'This is the final straw,' Musk posted in response to a user on X who said the administration's pledges to release the Epstein files were 'a farce.' Musk posted a series of memes mocking the Trump administration over its handling of the Epstein case. Other leading voices from the MAGA movement also shared their disbelief - and vowed the Epstein case wasn't over. 'As trusted voices like @FBIDDBongino, @FBIDirectorKash, and @AGPamBondi align with the official story, many are asking: Who's still willing to demand real answers?' Lindell TV, the outlet of Trump's ally Mike Lindell, fumed on X. 'The DOJ says the case is closed. But for millions of Americans, it's anything but.' Loomer was at the center of a MAGA civil war when she accused Tucker Carlson of being bankrolled by Qatar after he went against the president's decision to launch U.S. strikes on Iran last month.

These Americana Baby Names Are Perfection for Little Patriots
America: Whether you're feeling patriotic or a bit jaded these days, the 4th of July is a moment to reflect on who we are as a nation … and who we want to become. While we've certainly faced our share of challenges — and continue to — there's still plenty worth celebrating, not least of which is our fundamental right to speak our minds about the country we call home. In honor of that spirit — and of the landmarks, legends, and ideals that define Americana — we've gathered this collection of patriotic Americana-inspired baby names. They may be unconventional, but in today's world where unique names reign supreme, each one is surprisingly wearable … and undeniably rooted in our American story. Maybe you're naming your baby around Independence Day, or you simply want a name that carries echoes of grit, freedom, and hope; either way, these names will stand the test of time. After all, what could be more American than daring to dream big — and giving your little one a name that reflects all that boldness? More from SheKnows On's Nurse-Approved Cloud Sneakers Are Hugely Marked Down for 4th of July - Score Rare Deals Under $100 Best of SheKnows July 4th Printable Coloring Pages to Keep Kids Busy All Day How Social Media Killed Romance for Teens: What Parents Need to Know About Gen Z Dating in the Digital Age The Summer College Prep Tips No One Talks About — But Every Teen Needs When it comes to Americana baby names, you can't get any more American than, well, America! Our great continent was named after Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci, whose name is actually the medieval Italian form of the German name Emmerich, meaning 'great ruler.' When you think of America, you think of journeys — literal and figurative! From the Oregon Trail to Route 66, Manifest Destiny to the modern road trip, forging a path is woven into our national identity. As a name, Journey captures that spirit of adventure and optimism, while also feeling grounded in today's naming trends alongside word names like River and Sage. The meaning of Freeman is clear: free man. It was a surname originally (and still is!), but like other surnames such as Carter and Sullivan, it works perfectly well as a first name too. Liberty is 'the state of being free' — and, of course, there's the famous line from the National Anthem, ' … with liberty and justice for all.' And we can't forget the Statue of Liberty! With all these American associations, Liberty is the perfect patriotic name. Oh say can you see … a more poetic name for an American baby? While the word 'anthem' itself is not exclusively American, obviously, it has an inextricable tie to our national anthem, 'The Star Spangled Banner', for anybody from the U.S.A. It hits a sweet spot, too: undeniably unique, yet familiar-sounding enough to not be weird, thanks to its proximity to more common names like Anthony. Virtue names are not just for Puritans — they've been making a huge comeback in recent years, and Honor is one of the most wearable modern virtue names. It signifies adhering to what is right and showing respect and integrity. The Medal of Honor is the U.S. Armed Forces' highest military decoration. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren chose this name for their oldest daughter, Honor Marie Warren, but it works equally well for a boy. Spelled with an E at the end, the name Belle is French and means 'beautiful.' But take the E off, and you've got Bell: the same sound, but a difference significance — and the perfect subtle way to pay homage to the U.S.A. through its association with the Liberty Bell, which has come to be known as a symbol of our country. The fabric of our great nation was woven from multiple nationalities — many of whom immigrated to the U.S. via Ellis Island, the country's biggest federal immigration station. From its opening on the first day of 1892 to its last day in 1954, Ellis Island welcomed over 12 million immigrants. As a name, Ellis is derived from the Hebrew name 'Eliyyahu, meaning 'my god is Yahweh.' It has been used since medieval times, which is why this name is a great choice for a more subtle tribute to America. Penny feels sweetly old-fashioned, but it's got copper-clad Americana ties too. Not only is it a classic nickname for Penelope, but it calls to mind the Lincoln penny — an enduring symbol of thrift, industry, and Honest Abe himself. A name with retro charm and all-American roots? Yes, please! We've seen a multitude of little boys named Tanner — so why not put a patriotic spin on its popularity by swapping out the T for a B? Banner, of course, pays homage to our national anthem 'The Star Spangled Banner' and our flag. It may have been a while since Abraham Lincoln was President of the United States, but his legacy remains strong — and his name remains trendy! It stands to reason, since similar names like Logan are consistently within the top 50 most popular names in the U.S. What's more American than a promise? Our founding documents are filled with promises of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Naming your baby Promise nods to that aspirational hope woven into the American psyche — plus, it sits right at the intersection of modern virtue names like Grace and Serenity and more abstract word names like Dream. Boston, Massachusetts is widely considered to be the birthplace of the American Revolution; the Siege of Boston was the first major battle in the Revolutionary War, and who can forget the infamous Boston Tea Party? As a name, Boston pays homage to a spirit of independence worth fighting for. America wouldn't have the power it holds today without the vital support of our armed forces. While nothing is technically stopping you from naming your kid Air Force, there are probably better choices — like Navy! It has become more trendy as a name since the increased popularity of unique color names like Indigo and Scarlet. Valor is defined as 'great courage in the face of danger,' and if it weren't for the valor of certain groups and individuals throughout America's history, we might have a whole different story to tell. Like Honor, this fits right in with the virtue baby name trend, plus has the additional perk of Val as a cute nickname. There are so many reasons to love this name. First of all, its patriotic ties; Betsy Ross was, of course, credited with sewing the first American flag. The name, meaning 'pledged to God', is a diminutive of Elizabeth – which is one of the most popular girl names of all time. While Elizabeth has a ton of potential nicknames, Betsy isn't one you hear a lot these days — but as old-fashioned names come back into vogue, this one is a perfectly charming choice. Whether it's a nickname for Samantha, Samuel, or just a standalone, Sam is a short-but-sweet way to pay subtle homage to the U-S-of-A. After all, 'Uncle Sam' has been regarded as the personification of the U.S. (and more specifically, the U.S. governmental system) since the early 19th century. Another virtue name extolling the values on which this country was founded, Justice is a strong choice suitable for either gender (and, perhaps, for a future lawyer or judge?). The multiple meanings of glory as a word — magnificence, high renown through notable achievements, to delight in — makes it excellent as a name too. And of course, our flag's nickname is 'Old Glory', given by 19th-century American merchant seaman William Driver, a Massachusetts native who defiantly flew the flag on his ship during the Civil War, when it was considered a symbol of Union loyalty. Few things symbolize America quite like its national bird, the bald eagle — and Talon evokes the fierce power of those iconic claws. Though it's technically a nature name, it carries an unmistakably strong, edgy vibe, fitting right in with current trends for tough-but-cool names like Jagger or Blaze. As a name, Star could fall into a few different categories: nature names like Rain and Meadow, celestial names like Luna, or patriotic Americana baby names! Whether you're paying tribute to the twinkling orbs scattered through the night sky or the five-pointed symbols waving proudly on our flag, you can't go wrong. Perhaps the most subtly Americana-inspired moniker of all the names on this list, Indie (or Indy if you prefer that spelling, which skews a little more masculine) can be a nod to independence: one of the principles that's been the driving force of this country since its founding.

Jennifer Lopez jetted off to Spain after her 4th of July party to enjoy some R&R. The Maid In Manhattan star, 55, looked gorgeous in a black-and-white bikini with bottoms that tied at her hips in new images shared to Instagram. The Jenny From the Block singer's lounge chair sat in the grass a bit of a way away from the pool. The ex-wife of Ben Affleck, 52, looked happy as she paid attention to her phone. The Spain sighting comes after Jennifer shared a cheeky video and photos to her Instagram from her 4th of July celebration. 'Happy 4th of July,' she began while barely holding back her laughter. 'Want a cupcake?' she said while holding two in front of her breasts and shaking her torso from side to side. The superstar went on to joke: 'This is what happens when you hang out with the gays.' The video then cut to a clip of Jennifer Coolidge in season two of White Lotus saying 'the gays.' She proceeded to share the cupcake selfies in an Instagram post and captioned it, 'Happy Fourth of July everybody. ✨ Here are the cupcake selfies LOL.' Her fans overwhelmingly shared love and Happy 4th of July wishes to their idol. Many said that the last photo in the Wedding Planner star's carousel – the one with two cupcakes over her breasts – was their favorite. One fan offered JLo singer some sage advice. 'I'll take a cupcake??! Happy Fourth Jennifer!! ❤️P.S. Hang out with the fabulous gays more often please, and thank you.' Another fan thanked Lopez for all she does to bring happiness to her life. 'So cute! The collapse of their marriage was the culmination of months of rumors that the couple's relationship was heading towards implosion. Lopez appears to have taken a swipe at Ben in her music, in the lyrics to a song called Wreckage of You that she played at the listening party. One of the guests, Edgardo Luis Rivera, shared that JLo 'kept thinking of the word "wreck" because it means destruction, but she wasn't destroyed. 'In fact, the lyrics of the song are: "I'm stronger after the wreckage of you,"' via Us Weekly. 'She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself,' he noted.
