Honouring National Heroes every year on July 31, the nation observes Warriors' Day to honour fallen soldiers and security personnel, as well as those who have made significant contributions to the independence and security of Malaysia.
This annual celebration serves as a solemn reminder of their service and sacrifice in defending the peace and sovereignty of the nation.
Historically, July 31, 1960, marked the official end of the Emergency in Malaya.
The date was subsequently declared as Warriors' Day, providing all Malaysians with an opportunity to express gratitude for the peace the country enjoys today, which has enabled Malaysia to develop and prosper, free from the threats posed by hostile external elements.
