Lucknow: National Post Graduate College (NPGC) announced an upcoming collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh department of tourism and culture for innovative research in culture and tourism on Thursday during the college's 51st Foundation Day and Convocation Ceremony organised by the Alumni Association. Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh, who was the chief guest, praised the initiative and stressed the importance of linking educational institutions with cultural and tourism-based development. "Educational institutions like National PG College are the pillars of our nation's progress. With its unwavering commitment to excellence, NPGC stands tall like a banyan tree, nurturing generations. The youth, with discipline and purpose, will lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047," said Singh. NPGC principal Devendra Kumar Singh said, "The college has always believed in academic innovation and meaningful collaborations. Our proposed partnership with the department of tourism and culture will open new avenues for research in culture and heritage." The convocation honoured 66 meritorious students, including 56 girls and 10 boys, from various disciplines with gold medals, certificates, and cash prizes. Special recognition was given to NSS volunteers, rovers and rangers, and achievers in sports making the event a celebration of both academic and co-curricular excellence. Gold medalist Shipra Tiwari said, "Receiving this medal is a matter of pride not only for me but also for everyone who supported me. It inspires me to continue working hard and contribute meaningfully to society." Gurneet Kaur, gold medalist, said, "This recognition reflects the effort I've put into my academics and the unwavering guidance from my teachers. It gives me the confidence to pursue my future goals with greater determination."
