Oregon Ducks land commitment from 5-star DB Davon Benjamin

Dand Lanning and the Oregon Ducks filled the summer offseason months with a lot of recruiting wins, and it doesn't appear that they are slowing down now that we're getting into fall, either. 5-star cornerback Davon Benjamin picked Oregon over the likes of the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines on Saturday afternoon. The 247Sports Composite rates Benjamin as the No. 35 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 4 safety. He stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds. While he is listed at safety, there is an expectation that he will move around in the secondary for Oregon. Benjamin is the Ducks' 17th member of the 2026 class, and the fifth 5-star player, which is the most in the nation. Ahead of Saturday, Oregon had the No. 8 class in the nation, but with the addition of Benjamin, they move up to No. 7. The commitment doesn't come as a major surprise, seeing as there was a crystal ball prediction from the 247Sports recruiting staff for Benjamin to pick the Ducks. With Benjamin now in the mix, Oregon wrapped up the remaining major targets left on its board. Over the next several months throughout the season, there are some players out there who the Ducks will likely work on trying to flip from other schools, and new prospects could pop onto the radar, but Oregon's class in 2026 has shaped up nicely. Where 5-Star Immanuel Iheanacho ranks among Oregon's all-time highest-rated commits

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks scored a massive victory on the recruiting trail on Thursday, getting a commitment from 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, the third 5-star player they've added to the 2026 class. Iheanacho stands at 6-foot-6, 345 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 8 player in the 2026 class. With the addition of Iheanacho, Oregon jumped up to No. 10 in the recruiting rankings for this cycle, and there's a belief that they will continue to climb quickly with more top-ranked players coming off the board shortly. Advertisement What's more interesting to note, though, is where Iheanahco ranks among the top players and top offensive linemen to ever commit to the Ducks. Here's a look at where he stands when it comes to the best offensive linemen ever to join Oregon: No. 5 — Jonah Tauanu'u (4-star, 95) — Class of 2019 No. 4 — Penei Sewell(4-star, 0.9709) — Class of 2018 No. 3 — Kingsley Tuamataia (4-star, 0.9823) — Class of 2021 No. 2 — Josh Conerly (5-star, 0.9918) — Class of 2022 No. 1 — Immanuel Iheanacho (5-star, 0.9963) — Class of 2026 While Iheanacho standing among the top OTs in Oregon history is elite, he will also go down as one of the top-ranked overall players to commit to the Ducks. Advertisement EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux (5-star, 0.9987) — Class of 2019 WR Dakorien Moore (5-star, 0.9981) — Class of 2025 LB Justin Flowe (5-star, 0.9967) — Class of 2020 OT Immanuel Iheanacho (5-star, 0.9963) — Class of 2026 DL Haloti Ngata (5-star, 0.9962) — Class of 2002 RB Jonathan Stewart (5-star, 0.9952) — Class of 2005 CB Na'eem Offord (5-star, 0.9936) — Class of 2025 LB Noah Sewell (5-star, 0.9935) — Class of 2020 WR Cameron Colvin (5-star, 0.9932) — Class of 2004 RB De'Anthony Thomas (5-star, 0.9926) — Class of 2011 OT Josh Conerly (5-star, 0.9918) — Class of 2022 DL Arik Armstead (5-star, 0.9917) — Class of 2012 DLL Canton Kaumatule (5-star, 0.9909) — Class of 2015 RB Thomas Tyner (5-star, 0.9907) — Class of 2013 TE Kendre Harrison (5-star, 0.9894) — Class of 2026 WR Jurrion Dickey (5-star, 0.9857) — Class of 2023 S Jett Washington (5-star, 0.9846) — Class of 2026 S Trey McNutt (5-star, 0.9843) — Class of 2025 RB Lache Seastrung (5-star, 0.9841) — Class of 2010 CB Dontae Manning (5-star, 0.9840) — Class of 2020 When looking at those rankings, two things stand out at first glance: One, Oregon's 2025 class was loaded at the top, with 5-star Dakorien Moore (No. 2 all-time), 5-star Na'eem Offord (No. 8 all-time), and 5-star Trey McNutt (No. 17 all-time) in the class. Second, Oregon's 2026 class is stacking up nicely, with Iheanacho, Kendre Harrison, and Jett Washington ranking as the No. 4, No. 14, and No. 16 all-time recruits for the Ducks.
